Had first swim lesson today

So I havnt really swam ever before in my life and today was the 3rd day of swimming lessons but I missed the first 2 because I had to finish summer school. So I just got home an hour ago and I feel dissapointed at myself. I feel I could of done better. I was really tense and not relaxed cause I wasn't use to water in my ears and nose. I feel like going back already so I can do better. Tomorrow is the next day and hopefully I will be more relaxed. We had to go into 13 ft water holding onto this thing that float and I was so scared I was going to drown. Anybody else have first day swimming experiences?

I had swimming lessons when I was like 5 or 6 o.O She (swimming teacher) made us hold onto the wall and we had to swim out to her (she was like 10 feet from wall) then we had to jump off of the side and swim like 5 feet to her it was fun

Mmmm. I love swimming. Learned when I was 3, so... I don't remember first time swimming stuff. :P Anyways... Swimming is fun. Just relax... learn to hold yer breath... and, you know, doggy paddle or something.

Do you pay for these swimming lessons? It's easier to learn by yourself. Just freaking jump in a swing your arms and legs.

Its natural to feel that way ya know... you have to get used to everything thats it. And pay attention to the teacher. It takes time. Not pointing this out at you or anything, but whether the age, never feel overconfident The water kills you, but you can't kill the water.

hey good luck! Swimming is really fun and a great sport. I wanted to have swimming lessons for ultra 8 this summer but I forgot to reserve my spot for the lesson D;
