ok so i decided to install maplestory on my vista laptop everything works fine but the only problem is when i try to hold down shift ctrl or alt the skill only works once, i am so not used to this that i can not play maplestory on my laptop becouse these are the 3 major keys i use and i have been using this setup for over 2 years, my windows xp desktop has never done this on my laptop all the other keys work when i hold them down but just not alt shift or ctrl, im pretty sure this is a vista problem and if you have vista and this doesnt happen to you dont go on how im a idiot and blaim everything on vista becouse its a fact that vista has alot more problems than xp so if anyone knows why this is happening please tell me

I like the look of Vista, but I think XP works better =D Well, every operating system has it's own advantages and faults. Dell gives Vista with all it's computers and laptops now. I think they should give you a choice ^^

I'm pretty sure that it's a problem with Sticky Keys. It's a function on both Windows XP and Vista that "locks" a certain key when you press it too much or hold it for like 5 seconds+. I'm not really too sure on how to fix it but I had the problem on my Hermit training at Jr. Newts because my L7 was on control and I'd always get a message about stickykeys so I changed my L7 to 'z'. Hope that helps.

For example, the "problem" of which you speak of are commonly cause by a badly specs computer (like how many PC manufacturer did when Vista first came out, and cause that stupid "more RAM equal better performance" nonsense), the person computer doesn't do the necessary maintainence for a PC, or some other problems that are cause by the User themselves (which is usually the case in a lot of computer problems). If it was really a Vista problem, how come I and many other user doesn't have the problems that is usually blame on Vista in the MS-Tech? Also, you didn't have to reply to it, so you wasted your own time repeating what was said in your opening post. |

rofl? how is this my problem when i have taken this computer to be "fixed" back to dell 5 times you go off blaiming this problem all on me this has nothing to do with my computers ram or any of this "nonsense" so if you are just going to be a hard headed jerk and say things once again you people dont know what your talking about then good for you becouse i dont really care what you think about vista if your going to help than help and if you cant read then it the start of this whole thing i said "dont call me an idiot for blaiming this on vista" becouse this obvisouly has something to do with vista i have had this computer reformated to default settings along with my windows xp desktop i made sure they had the same settings but yet the vista is the only one who has this problem so explain how i can fix this or dont say how this is not vistas fault i dont care about your opinion about vista i just want this to be fixed
