So my laptop died.

It was an alienware, yes I wrote the name so you guys know what you will expect from buying one of those. Yesterday before showering I accidentally left Age of Empires on, and when I came from the shower I saw the computer shutted down. When I tried to turn it on, nothing happened, the window went from the login screen to a pitch black window that wouldnt let me do a thing. Took it to my friends and he told me that the SATA drive died, but the other parts where all good. So the question is, could I take all the parts such as the ram, processor, motherboard, VIDEO CARD from my laptop and put it on my desktop? Thanks.

In fact, laptop video cards are so unique some might not even fit into a different laptop. Don't make the mistake of buying alienware again. It is just overpriced for the product you're getting. Honestly, you can get a equivalently-powerful laptop from a less known brand (Asus, MSI, Acer, etc.) for hundreds of dollars less.

now i know why people waste alot of money for alienwares made by dell. which is not a bad thing but i mean since yours died. i'm more likely to not buy from alienware ever. cause it costs alot...i mean $1000+ is alot for gaming purposes and just for "immortal" specs too. =/

alienware is so godly i'm pretty sure it was your falut maybe you left it on alot of time and it got overheat but it will must likely would have killed your graphics rather than your HD but w/e just buy anothr1 laptop HD r not that expensive thank good it wasn't your CPU

Why don't you just go get another Hard Drive? They aren't that expensive at all.
