Dont you think they expect WAY too much? my report came back today . I got 1 A and all the rest B Thats pretty good because a 'C' is average First thing that my mum says ? 'I cant believe you only get 1 A, Your gonna fail school and not have a good future. You're not going to succeed in life blah blah blah' Im so tired of it . Everytime my report comes back , this happens And then guess what happen? i get grounded for the rest of the holidays . Just Great ! edit: I mean its ok to say 'try better next time' the thing is I do get a better report and then they want a better one . Its like none of my reports no matter how good it is will make them happy .

Yeah my parents are never satisfied. Once the goal grade is reached, they just ask for more and pretend that what I did before had no merit. Hang in there =[ Just remember that you're not studying for them or their happiness. You're studying so you can be happy in the end. Maybe you both could try to compromise; you'll work harder in school if they treat you with the respect you or any person deserves.

I honestly do this. I photoshop my report to high 70's (B's). When I show my parents my report card, they know that I can only achieve 70s. Then they will finally understand that I can't do better and won't expect much more. In reality though, I get 80s and 90s. I just don't like the extra pressure. So I get the best of both worlds. I get good grades so I can be accepted into university, and I don't get the constant pressure that a lot of parents emit when you don't match up to their standards.

1 A and rest are B's? Assuming they weren't from AP classes... Honestly if those are your final grades your GPA isn't the greatest, meaning getting into a competitive college is going to be annoying unless you have good SAT Scores and extracurricular activities....don't blame your parents haha.

All I is that my Dad's "lectures" go to 2 things nothing else...EVER. School and What's wrong with the government. Even when I say the most random crap it'll usually end up at one of those O.o

Guys, guys, I'm pretty sure he isn't American, lol. xHiddenViet suggests he's Vietnamese. Australia is filled with Vietnamese people. Also, he stated that a C is average, which means he's marked the same way I am. I'm Australian. Fact: C = Current expected level. B = Half a year ahead. A = More than a year ahead. By ahead, it means, compared to the rest of the state.

i aggree with you. Asian parents are ALWAYS nagging you. Heres what happened Me: *Gives Report Card* Dad: WHAT? No A's? Me: Its B's still good... Dad: NO! A I want to see a A Me: But I really tried my best Dad: *mocks me* tried your best. (he dont no what that means lol) I want to see an A!
