I've heard it being mentioned, I've just forgot the name of it. Anyone know? :3 (I realise it's not only for Maple, butyeah)

I am pretty much sure it doesn't have any loggers or viruses in it, but idk if its detectable by maple, which might lead to a ban?" Well, it isn't really a hack, but it does enhance gameplay, which is probably against the ToS. Unless you're willing to take the risk, don't get it. But in other perspectives, it's just to speed up the game, nothing harmful. It doesn't give you an advantage over another player, unless the other player has the worst computer in the world. I don't know.

M4pl3tr4d3Somebody send a ticket! I sure could use this...
tektonix Jul 14 2009 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
tektonixAll it does is stuff you could do yourself manually... Which is turning off Aero and 3D acceleration for effects in Windows Vista, and turning down (or turning off) visual enhancements in both Windows Vista and Windows XP, thereby freeing up to a gigabyte of RAM. Nothing too new really... In fact, as soon as Vista came out, there were freeware apps like this that automated the process of turning the effects off and back on so you could utilize the processor/RAM power for more important applications when the OS "eye candy" wasn't really needed. It says it turns off background programs (probably not anything outside of Microsoft?) and services, too... That's fine and dandy, but you're gonna want those services later, so be careful with that part. Detectable/bannable? Probably not. It's not aiding you in game, nor giving you an unfair advantage over others. And as I already mentioned, it's not doing anything you couldn't do manually by yourself. It just makes the process a little easier.

codebandithow fast do u want maple to be...isnt it fast enough? (except the people maybe...)
SageonX 07/14/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
Game Booster. I use it. If you read the description the program gives, it disables background programs on your PC. You can do it manually of course, without the help of Game Booster. But if you're a tech geek like me or someone else, this software is a handy tool in our tool box

I wouldn't use ANY 3rd party program with maple. The GM's seem a little ban-happy right now, so I wouldn't risk it.

I want to use "Gamebooster" but is it safe?
Revolt 07/14/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
100% safe, trusted, clean, secured, backed by patents pending. Scanned for viruses, spyware, adware, malware, shtware, all that crap and it came up clean. Scanned with virustotal and jotti, no results came up detecting malware of any sort or kind. I've been using it for a couple of months and it works great. Smooth, compatible with any OS (except maybe not Mac and Linux...) and runs on 32-bit or 64-bit. Takes up virtually no space, yet frees up alot, easy-to-use, simple, automatic upgrades. Use it for any external game such as MS, combat arms, crossfire, gunz, etc etc except don't use it for browser games or net browsing.

There is a version of almost every program for Windows in Mac form. I have a Mac and have had to search quite a bit if I want a program I have/had on Windows but Windows versions obviosuly wouldn't work on a Mac. So someone had to re-write some codes and stuff and make Windows programs be able to go on a Mac. There is a GameBooster for Mac, but I would not want to use it, it technically is a 3rd Party Program which could possibly get you banned. And lots of times when I start up MS it will close with out even loading it, saying it has detected a Speed Hack (I do not hack, nor have I ever hacked).. I click Ok, try again, sometimes it works or it might pop up with the Speed Hack message again. But it eventually works. Lately tho, MS has just been really bugged and glitchy. They should really work on fixing that sorta thing instead of focusing on adding more content which would probably lead to even more bugs and glitches.

Is it against MapleStory's ToS?

sain2357 said: "Is it against MapleStory's ToS?" 3rd-Party-Programs are, and I believe Nexon/MS would count this as one. Making it bannable if you are caught using it. Which I don't see how they would be able to tell, unless like lots of people do believe, they have some sort of Keylogger in MS so they know when you are hacking. I don't believe they have a keylogger because that would be quite illegal (I'm pretty sure) But I have seen some threads on people stating in threads that they believe there is some type of virus/keylogger in the MS File when you download it.
