http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ux8mJUexBcM I mean, back when I played it was all about getting lvl 100's and using the most powerful attacks. But I just turned on my little cousin's DSi and I booted up Platnium Edition, and now that I think of it. It's way more in depth than I thought it was. When I turned it on, he was in front of one of the Elite Four members or whatnot, and he told me he couldn't beat it. I said "easy, I'll do it." To my disbelief after many tries, I could not beat the Elite Four member, I mean sure his Pokemon were a little under level for the Elite Four. But nonetheless if you make it to the Elite Four as fast as you could, you could probably beat them. He then started to explain to me the different attributes and traits and how they effected one another, so I began writing them down. And before you know it, its a much more deep game than you think it is. I thought to myself, might as well give it another shot. Instead of using "Hyperbeam" all the time, I started to test out long term strategies. To my disbelief once again, I beat the Elite Four. Then he, my cousin, began to explain that I could now play online, with wireless internet, wi-fi. I then thought to myself, playing other people would be really fun, even more challenging than the Elite Four, or at least some of them would be... The smart ones would be. After countless hours of challenging others online, I asked my parents to drive me and my cousin to Costco. Where I bought my own DSi bundle, that included Pokemon Platnium Version, and a few other accessories: a carrying case for extra games, a screen protector for each screen, a screen cleaning cloth, and a car charger. As of right now, I just opened the packaging on my new blue DSi. Any who, after reading this wall of text, I was just wondering if anyone still plays Pokemon Platnium online, competitively. If you do, please leave your Pokemon ID, or whatever it is. Thanks a lot. :D

Thats absurd. Well it might be because you line in the Connecticut. It's similar to Sam's Club, if you have that, where you live. OT: Well to me, it made me want to buy a DSi right away. It was a totally new experience for me, for example, while playing on my cousins DSi. I had a 45 minute long battle in which I had fun the whole way through. To me, in the beginning it was all about winning, but now its about developing strategies and playing certain moves at certain times. I usually don't invest in things right away, I usually do a lot of research. But I didn't want to lose any time catching up on this experience, thus I bought a DSi right away.

If you want really in depth, Learn how to EV train, and build team combos. If you can't do this, the most def you won't be able to play with the competitive players.
