Need help running dual Maple VMware

So i have done some investigating about running 2 Maples on one computer. I have attempted the switch user technique, but I've heard it was no longer available while running Windows Vista. Another option I found was to run VMware which allows you to have seperate OS running at the same time? So I recently downloaded and installed VMware Player, and was wondering how i could preform such a task. With VMware how do I run 2 maples with Windows Vista?

There are.."other ways". BUT THEY AREN'T ALLOWED HERE. Also........Nexon doesnt allow this btw. But you dont need to setup a whole virtual OS. Msg for details..i'll respond tommorow

I don't remember if it was VMware I used, however, you can't run maplestory on a virtual machine because on most if not all of these programs, the graphics card won't be recognized as a valid one, since it is also just being emulated it, I wasn't able to run maple on it.

Do it the legit way with windows xp, run maplestory on 1 user, switch users, run maplestory on that user.

maple on vmware is impossible!unless you have a intel i7 945 with 12gbs of ram cus maple already takes up 75% of you Ram and CPU already and VMware takes up even more and have u tried quadraple clicking maple and clicking the play twice?

you need a buttload of ram/cpu i believe(and decent hardrive space). to run 2 maples, you need to set up 2 virtual machiness, meaning you'll have the weight of 3 computers running (the physical one+2 virtual ones to run maple) you're unable to run maple with vmware running, because maple just doesn't let you...in other words it's impossible to run it on the physical computer, but you can run it on the virtual machines

Most of the people in here obviously have no clue what they are talking about. You do NOT need a crap load of Ram to run Maple in a VM, I know, because I have done it with 3GB. You need a powerful CPU and GPU as always, MORE RAM DOES NOT MEAN MORE PERFORMACE. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEADS . Also, TS, you can not run maple in Vmware player due to its lack of 3D Hardware acceleration. Only one version has that, and its pay to use, and the hardware acceleration is experimental, so unless you have a powerful system, there isnt even any point.

You don't need an i7 to run two Maples at once, MapleStory actually doesn't use that much power; it's a 2d MMO after all! I have done the switch users trick with Windows 7 64-bit successfully, so I don't know if it's by virtue of being a 64-bit os or not, but it does work. As for VMWare, skye knows what he's talking about; I don't remember which VMWare programs have the 3d accel besides Fusion, so trust him on that one.

Well dunno about all this hababaloo, but I tried the switch user thing on my Vista Home Premium worked fine doing it right now :S.
