| I laughed at the person who said China was poor. LOLOLOLOL, see? Okay, but really, those who say 'nukes win wars' should also perhaps focus on the fact that they're neighbouring countries? Deliver them first, you win. In terms of raw nuclear weapon power, I don't know who'd win. In conventional warfare (ie. no chemical, biological or nuclear weapons), China will almost indefinitely win. However, the navy wouldn't help too much on that one unless they're taking over Thailand, Laos, etc. with it, since it's a great distance from China to India and vice-versa over water. Just take a look at the map and you'd know what I mean. Neither sides have much access with a navy. |

China's nuclear program is much more advanced than India's, so China would win a nuclear war also. |

| China would easily win, even if India had double the population China would win. I don't see India as a world threat and they really aren't considering 80% of the population lives in poverty and can't really be in the army. I doubt the technology and the army would even be able to hold that many people. |

| Neither would win. They are both nuclear powers and all it would take is one bomb to screw the other country over. :/ |

| well the only importantce here since both countries are tied in population is health, weapons technology and social adhesion health obviously for better front line killing proficiency, weapons technology is absolutely necessary to any war if you disagree talk to the Russians in the first world war, huge huge numbers but were all slaughtered by the germans who had all the weapons they needed, and men on horses are rather easy to shoot at those are easy to understand but you wonder social cohesion? india is racist, to my information, its still highly racist, to their own nationality of course, class division means that potential corruption, and disorder between the troops, as opposed to the chinese, damn son, you dont wanna know how hardcore they are. you dont want to know. |

Also, the higher the army's count, the more resources it uses. This leads to... Landmass and resources. China does have the bigger territory. The more land, the more resources it can handle and spare. Someone will need to dig up the land usage of each country. Even if China does have more land, are they able to use it? Remember, in WW2, Russia used the "Scorched Earth" technique. This exhausted Germany's advancing forces. Weather and climate are also a factor in determining a country's ability to win. Droughts can often lead to heat waves and weaker men. Floods can destroy defenses and routes. Again, I'm not familiar with each country's climate. After examining these factors, we can decide which country would win in a war. 1 vs 1." Let me just add that china isnt as big as people beleive. The Gobi desert noms ALOT of space o-o and people say its spreading. |

 | this thread is useless because in no way would China EVER consider attacking India or vice versa. This is because both of them are still developing nations, yes even China. Both of there economic status is on the rise and a war would shatter there economies, businesses would leave, jobs would be lost and both of their stabilizing forms of society would be rocketed back to the stone age if a full scale war was to ensue. They have both come so far they will not, I REPEAT will not go to war with ANYONE in the next 50 years unless threatened to do so and there is a very slim chance that they would threaten each other. |
