Hero or Corsair?

Between these two, I have no clue as to which would fit my wants. :P So I've read quite a few threads on basilmarket, and I've seen a lot of "When your ship breaks in fourth job, you're useless" "You corsairs can't boss because your ship breaks too easily, and then you're useless" A strong/common use of the word "useless" associated with ships breaking and corsairs in boss runs and even training. Could you guys tell me if this is true? On the other hand, w/o any buffs or anything, it's pretty much likely that fighters all the way to heroes usually have the highest base hp. So they have good attacking skills, high hp, just no real mobility skill of their own (no haste, dash, thrust xD, just a pig for the warriors, although that's awesome and Dawn Warriors >.> have their own FJ). Seems like they're great bosses and training is good with high #s as well. So that's caught my fancy. Should I go with fighter and on? Or slinger to corsair? Thanks for the replies/votes. Apologies for the wall of text (tried to divide and make it neat =/)

What's your preferences? Do you prefer high damage, or more fun, mobility, or whatever? Both jobs are nice IMO, I personally prefer ranged plus high damage, so I went with an outlaw, but it's really up to you xD

The Corsair thing isn't true. The ship breaks less than you think. And why would Hero's need Haste/Dash/Thrust or that crap when they have Rush?

A ship actually rarely breaks. Even when it does, you still have rapid fire, which isn't a bad skill at all, despite what people say.

the thing about ship breaking is false, good control corsairs get off the ship and back on when it almost breaks which takes like not even a second.

Could you guys tell me if this is true? It's true under one of two scenarios: 1. You don't know how to control your character, which insinuates some controversial methods as to how you leveled 2. Your computer's graphic card/internet doesn't like you; it's time to get a new one.

Brandish is smexy and alot of hp helps you in the game. Heros you dont need to hp wash corsairs you SHOULD wash because they have low hp like NL and BM. atleast thats if you want to HT or PB ever.

Corsairs are not useless when their ship breaks since they have rapid fire which is as fast as hurricane, and does like 10k per bullet. I know that's weak but they are still not useless since they are still attacking.

So without hp washing, corsairs are pretty much unable to go to any high leveled bosses? That's what I was afraid of hearing
