misconduct is pretty much breaking any rule except hacking/botting/third party programmes. and yes, once the ban is over you should go back on ranks. its only if you break the three that i mentioned that you have a good chance of not being put back on. when i got wrongfully banned for misconduct i got put back on ranks as soon as it finished. you should be fine
