To all the Night Lords and Shadowers.

We all know the most popular difference between the two. Night Lords do amazing damage to single target monsters, and are far superior at it than their counterparts; Shadowers. Shadowers on the other hand are the superior mobbers and survivors. That's not to say that the other isn't good or decent at what the other is superior at though. Why is there so much hate between the two classes? We're Thieves, we should be proud of each other. We both began as the same class, the ever so popular Rogue. Sure we're different, but does that mean we have to put each other down for it? Why can't we all just acknowledge each other for what the other does best? Why is there a need to put each other down as often as we do for such petty things? The biggest argument between not only the Thieve class, but every other class on Maple; damage. Some classes do more damage than others in certain situations, that's just how Maple is. Just because that's true though, that doesn't mean we should dislike or not want to do a certain thing with someone just because they aren't as good as others. So long as they're trying, and doing their best to contribute, I really don't see what the issue is. Why can't we just try and get along for once? You know, help each other out instead of doing what we have been for what seems to be years now? This is a response I typed up earlier today. ____ lake63 said: "Um..NL dps > Shadower dps. The only ones left were myself, a Dark Knight, and two Bishops. Being left at the last body while it still had over 75% of it's HP left, guess who was the one who had to kill it? Me. When one of the Bishops forgot MG and died on Zakum's body, who was the one who was able to get her a safe resurrection? Me. A Shadower, that's who. We may not be the best when it comes to dealing damage, or giving off buffs that are highly beneficial to our party. But we can boss, and we can do it pretty dammed well. (No, I'm not saying we're the best bossers.) Last but not least, who needs a Night Lord at a boss run? Nobody, that's who. Night Lords aren't needed for boss runs. They don't have any skills that benefit the party, so, who needs 'em? If anything, they're just a preference. (I'm not trying to insult you Night Lords, I'm just trying to prove a point. Boss runs can be done without Night Lords and Shadowers. So I don't see why that's even used as an argument.) ____ In any case, I just kinda needed to vent. Sorry if I posted a thread that you're all tired of reading, I'm just fed up with all this immature nonsense. Do what you want, it's your story after all.

i dont get it either. NL's do high single damage and shadowers do high mob damage, i dont get it becouse some1 hasnt been around long enought and doesnt have the funding,or just doesnt like sin/herm/nl as much as dit/cb/shadower we hate? why not just get along. i never see any of the other classes fighting over damage and job classes as much as i do between the dits and the sins...

To a lot of squads, NLs are important. Alchemist is not a party skill, but it's able to really help out a squad. I have never ran with a squad leader who didn't want the best splits for his/her squad, and being able to take down Zak as fast as possible and the potential to use less Apples is something NLs can really contribute to. Every class can bring their own benefits to a squad, but what NLs bring simply tend to weigh a bit more. xD Edit:@frozendager8: Have you ever been to a Warrior v. Warrior class thread? Especially Pally v. Heroes these days, their fights go on and on and on... Oddly they greatly emphasize using a Warrior Comparison thing, but apparently it's not enough to stop their battles. xD

This is a waste of time. All the intelligent Thieves know this. All the kids who want to make NLs to act pro and think that 200m of funding is plenty to be dexless will never change. Instead of doing this you could update that thieves damage ranges. This was really unnecessary.

And you're not gonna change anyone's opinion with threads like these. The people that hate on Shadowers are very likely to always hate on shadowers. Stop making threads like this one because it has no positive effect whatsoever and can effectively only be used to start yet another stupid flame war.

After fighting against each other for so long, sometimes people forget the reason they fought for in the first place. First it was DPS, then bossing, now, it's just pure hatred. It's psychological, and part of human nature.
