Well that's what I'm doing, though I honestly find pros in cons of doing so. I'll go cons, then pros, as the pros are much more elaborate doing so. Cons: Training is slow, you won't get very far by the time Cygnus comes out. You'll get accustomed to dash and the speedy agile movements of slingers. The range of a gun's regular attack is much smaller than a bowman's. Slingers are made for long term commitments, and don't shine until after level 70. Pros: You can play around with the mobility of a slinger. Decent for underfunded ranged class. Bullet prices are cheap and are so when it comes to recharging, Great test of skill to see how far you can get til Cygnus comes out. Blessing of the Sprite buff would be incredible for an already high acc/avoid class. IMO, you should go bowman/hunter and save your old equips on a mule or something. Scope out training and such, and then admire the differences between Bowman and Wind Archer. But, it is your decision.

You know, after playing my slinger for awhile today, I really don't get why they don't shine till after 70, they may be weak, but dam, there speed does make up for it.

Yes, but this community only cares about dmg in general... in truths u can go against a evenly sin same level, same dmg equips and same dmg bullet/stars... but the sin dose more dmg per 2 stars then the gs 2 bullets... but in overall u kill a little faster or equal to the sin still.

I'm not saying it's solely about the damage, but most people tend to max the speedy skills toward the end of 2nd job, meaning you'll have them maxed by 70, and then you get to freeze+fire spam, gaviota, etc. etc. but...i noticed though....even when using a maxed blank shot, without my pink flower tube, i'm doing worse damage on average as a cleric only using magic claw.

People follow guides alot...... Blank shot i think wasent ment as a power move O.o but more of a stealthy attack to prevent arggoing the monster

I had fun, This Sin couldn't even compete with me, sure he can hit more per star, but the speed of the bullet is so much win.

Lol yeah i would be loving gs too because of it speed. i borrowed my friends level 48 gs and it kinda stripped* had to replace alot of stuff* but it still was awesome XD. prices for gs r cheap too so u can go unfunded on that bad boy and just go around killing like crazy XD. for like a couple of days then i got bored of just using double shot... then i spammed grenade on everyone XD now imagine the macro name i gave it...

You're completely missing the point o.o" -straps on nerd goggles- Multiple variables are factored into such things as a person's interest of a certain job, ex. enjoyability, mobility, prices for equipment, and the big(and probably only) for some(and i mean most) people, damage. I wouldn't necessarily say 99%, but if you noticed the population of noobs that quit before the culmination of a job, then gunslingers aren't the most intriguing and fascinating class in the world, so i estimate a good hefty 60-75% of gunslingers quit before they see the fun that you enjoyed. And I commend you for having fun, because all of those damage wh0res out there are only interested in hitting those 1ks in level 50. I, personally, would never base my opinion of a job on first and foremost it's damage, as I made my chose as a gunslinger based on the fun they have, maneuverability, and upkeep costs. I only wish for the TS to consider all factors before settling on deciding on using a gunslinger as a parent character for a Cygnus Knight, as, depending on style of gameplay, may take longer to level up, and, like him, I recently made my gunslinger just weeks before the release of Cygnus in order for it to be a progenitor of a Knight, so my opinions come from one of the same position as him.

well i was sorta just talking about gs with morbid, so yeah i suppose i did went off topic a lot.... Yes, i completely agree with u on ur opinion back to the subject i wouldn't make a parent the gs for a wind ranger becuz the style may be the same in long range, but the skill types r almost completely different.

Same, lmao, sorry for the TS for getting off topic xD
