...So I won an auction the other day by waiting to snipe it for 20 minutes, maple wagner 72 wa, for 23Mil. Good deal right? I'm all happy and excited since I got it for my dexless sindit. Now...I contact the dude 4-5 days after the auction (couldn't seem to find him before then) and say 'FINALLY'. And I ask him where the wagner is. "Uhh...dude, didn't I sell it to you 3 days ago?" ...APPARENTLY SOMEONE HAD POSED AS MY MULE AND BOUGHT IT FROM HIM. Really guys? That's just not cool. Sorry for the random vent. That was just obnoxious of someone. If you're reading this, here's a big middle finger to you. (No, the seller forgot the ign, otherwise I would post it here so you could flame him q.q). Anyways, no need for comments/reply. Just kinda pissed and needed to vent to the community.

Happened to me TWICE. I mean honestly, are basilers too incompetent to CHECK THE BASILID OF THE BUYER/SELLER BEFORE SELLING/BUYING THE ITEM! It irritates me so much tho. But I agree with GodSpeaks, there is a slight chance that the seller made that up just to not sell it for so low.

The chances of a person successfully posing as you entails him/her closely following the auction and being able to successfully predict (easily in this case, since you sniped) the winner. EDIT: It is, however, not impossible to do.

No that's happened when I was selling a 16 luk stolen fence; the dit items really attract these low-life half-wits. Some guy posed as a mule, and I guess he just made this character; his name and the buyer's name was separated by an i. What's even worse, is that both of them were level 10 (the fail buyer and the real buyer's mule) The only reason I got him was that he didn't know "his" basilid.
