As stated in the title, catholics are not against people and nor is God. For all of you religious people who believe so, I suggest you to do a little more research (I'm catholic by the way) instead of lunging into aggresiveness. I remember the time i saw (on TV) a bunch of people came out on the streets, carrying signs with the stupid acronym "God Abhors You". People like you make us well-intentioned catholics look bad. Search around the internet or even in your community for religious institutions which help homosexual people. Even though God wants everyone to be heterosexual, he does not force us to do so. There are people who won't be able to change even if they do try and God will still love them. Peace to all.

Yeah, it seems that Catholic people hate "homosexual acts." Which is hypocritical at that, why should homosexual people have to cover up their feelings and desires when heterosexual people can be as promiscuous as they please? I think it's just that generally Catholics come up with very un-convincing arguments, i.e. God made man and woman to procreate, "God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve", go to this verse of our biblical text as proof. All of these arguments lack one thing: proof, it's like saying that the grass is green because God liked the colour green and quoting a biblical verse to prove it. I'm just generalising here, but it seems a lot of Catholics put their religion to shame.

Some people who are really religious and later discover their homosexuality would be in quite an uncomfortable position believing they shouldn't be that way, they would've this, they would've that, etc. This kind of stuff could lead to depression as well.

Exactly. I'm Catholic and I support gay marriages. In fact, I don't have hate towards anyone or anything except assholes who treat me like garbage... =/ You get the point. =3

Unless I can pray to your God for a new hypothalamus, I am unconvinced. Also, enough with this "it's a sin" garbage. If we banned everyone who sinned from getting married, the word would not exist.
