Peace be with you everyone. This is NOT a "does god exist" debate. This is for people who believe that a god exists, but don't believe in any of the religions out there. If you truly believe that there is a god out there and he's loving, caring, just, kind, etc. Why is it that a kind an loving god would leave his creation without law? without guidance? One might argue that we should follow our morality, or some might say we learn from our mistakes. So tell me, how do we learn from our mistakes if we don't know whats a mistake and whats not? what do we use to separate right from wrong? do we use our brains? because i guarantee you not all of us have the same opinions/beliefs on all topics.. What if a guy finds it ok to take away lives for personal gains? You know... without setting rules, people will only get worse, morals and such alone can't stop the people, people need a law to follow, they need rules to know when their limits are. Edit: This is NOT directed to atheists, since they do not believe in a god, but feel free to post your thoughts about it anyways.

"What if a guy finds it ok to take away lives for personal gains?" Then that person has no thought for others. I don't see why people insist that you need God to show you morals or something. I learn from experience. I don't like being hurt, for example, punched in the face, obviously then I wouldn't want other people to punch me in the face nor would I like to inflict that pain upon others. What's so hard about that?

What's so hard about that?" That's nice of you, but not all people are like you, there are people that find it okay to hurt others but don't find it okay for them to get hurt. Also, this was directed more to the people who believe in god.

Also, you seem to be under the impression that a god people believe in has to be nice/loving etc, when really, that seems to be most religious gods. Someone could believe in a god that is not loving or caring, and that doesn't care what you do. You have some sort of notion about a god having to do this and that in peoples minds. A god can be whatever you believe it is. You seem to be trying to convince people that a god has to give morals and laws through people and physical objects, and not through other mediums, like peoples minds.

You don't reach into TV sitcoms and tell Kramer not to do something stupid, you just laugh at him.
