How long do Server transfers take to finish?

I just made a request to transfer to Windia but i thought it would be fast? I am still in Mardia and I am curious how long it takes to finish or even start? Can i get some help on this one please? This is my first and probably only transfer so I need Professional advice on this, from players who have done this thing before more. Thanks!

Maybe if you made the request too soon to a server check, they do it next time?

It happens during the next maintenance / server check / patch. Whichever comes first.

Are those Frequent or do they take a while? the server patches and/or Maintenance.
