| Archers have stable damage throughout their entire carreer. Corsairs have a bit of an advantage, but this only comes at level 120 and beyond; lots of people set out to make one, and then give up because its either too hard, too slow, or they leech to a high level, play it a few hours, and quit due to lack of "connection" with their character. |

| Corsairs are pretty similar to Marksmen. Why does one have to be better than the other? Just pick. |

Wha, stable damage? Our damage is atrocious before mastery in second job. Even with mastery, it's still inconsistent, no thanks to critical damage. It won't be consistent until after fourth job when Marksman Boost/Bow Expert is being worked on. Like corsairs, crossbowmen are a class that won't shine until later. Third job is when things get remotely interesting, followed by a powerful fourth. Marksmen make great mobbers, though corsairs have a much higher DPM than them. They both serve somewhat different purposes when it comes to bossing. In the end I suggest you just make both and see which you like better. Personally, I find my gunslinger much more fun than my crossbowman when it was in second job. |
