Is it really that bad to want to be alone?

I'am just asking cause when I want to maybe just sitting by myself all alone next to a window people automaticaly calls me an "emo". I mean like cant they just call me a loner instead it sounds alot more better. Alot of people also tell me I'am attention seeking when I hate attention the most ... its like they have to categorise loner as an emo type of people. I mean like I do have friends but being alone is so much more fun no need to argue with anyone, fight for things and best of all your just so free. My question is it really that bad to want to be alone? Are loners considered as emos? Does wanting to be alone make me a weirdo/loser/outcast?

It just kinda makes you a loner. I enjoy being alone too sometimes, but I also like to spend time with friends, especially in a school full of them.

Whoever called you emo is just acting defensive, given that you're basically insinuating that you enjoy your own company more than theirs. It's not bad, no. Sometimes, when I'm thinking too much and I don't want anyone to disrupt my thought pattern, I'll prefer to be away from people. If you want to be away all the time, though, something's wrong. In that case, you probably just need to meet people you speak more freely with or relate to more.

i get the same thing haha, i wanna by myself and all of a sudden my friend calls me goth/emo cus im not out in the sunlight... you have friends rite? youre no loser/outcast/weirdo... haha. emo is a stupid fad has nothing to do with loners and no it not bad at all you want to be alone, you just want to be free, yea, have no feelings, no worries, no problems, very fun

nah ure just a loner / person that likes to think - fly with its imagination / and u enjoy ur own company if you do it all day, maybe and just maybe its not that healthy since the human being is a sociable being. if you get interaction with other people then ure ok

To tunaonshoe: Haha no I only kiss when I'am on dates and stuff To Gnocchi: I dont mind hanging out with them but they are just such drags (the wrong friends :X) I mostly just write stories or start playing my ipod and thats it but I feel so much relief being alone no stress

Why do people call you a loner/emo when you go out on dates o_o And hanging with people is much more fun, theres someone out there that you click with. If you can't either you have real high standards, or just really don't like people
