So someone makes a post that pisses you off. Maybe they're saying something racist or anti-Semetic. Maybe they're saying how their class is better than everyone else. The poster clearly has no idea what they're talking about. They're not even making a logical argument, they're just putting you down. You want to rage. What do you do? Chances are, this person is trolling . Most likely they're not serious about what they're posting. If they are serious, who cares? What're you going to do, make them cry by flaming them on Basil? If you start getting angry, you're doing it wrong. How not to respond to a troll: 1. Attacking their grammar (especially if you spell it grammer), or tell them to stop skipping school, or some other lame insult 2. Spend 5-10 minutes typing up something to prove them wrong 3. Make another thread to spend 5 minutes typing up something to prove them wrong 4. Respond to the thread, period, after it's already clear that the thread is a joke 5. TYPE IN ALL CAPS 6. Join in How to respond to a troll: 1. Anything witty or sarcastic. 2. Otherwise , DON'T POST. You'll only make yourself look like an idiot. Welcome to the Intarwebs, and enjoy your stay! o-o
