I play MapleStory because it's probably the best MMORPG that doesn't require any startup or monthly fees (people think NX is required, but really its optional, it just seems required sometimes to make things easier, whether it's EXP, mesos, or items).

I don't play maplestory because I've developed signs of early carpal tunnel... which won't get worse if I take care of myself. But that's not the only reason I quit: 1. Elitist community 2. The leveling system is almost cruel... taking boredom and monotony to a whole new level. 3. Most of MapleStory's life has been one giant battle between hackers and people who play the game fair. That got old very fast. 4. Scammers 5. Selfish and greedy community. 6. The huge wall between non-NX users, and their haters- NX users. 7. The sound effects and music are both beyond horrible... they are ghastly.
