Why is zero to the zeroth power 1 if anything over divided by 0 is undefined and that when anything over itself is 1 but 0/0 =/= 1?

Why do you do that though? I stared at this problem and nothing I learned in algebra taught me how to do this. In 5 hours I have my final exam which I'm most likely gonna fail since I don't know any of the material! Why the 5, why not 3? Is there some kinda cross multiplying involved?

The ChaozD3mon's way let jumbo dog = x, and regular = y 5x + 3y = 1432 ........ 1 x + y = 400 ...... 2 then do simutaneous equation, sub 2 into 1 5(400 - y) + 3y = 1432 2y = 568 y = 284 then sub y = 284 into equation 1 or 2, sub y = 284 into 2 x + 284 = 400 x = 116

Let J = Jumbo Hot Dog and R = regular hot dog. So: J + R = 400 (the number sold) and 5J + 3R = 1432 (the money collected). So then R = 400 - J. Then 5J + 3(400-J) = 1432. Just solve for J

I'm very good at math problems: The most they can make is $2,000 by selling 400 $5 hotdogs. know the smaller hotdogs are $3 since they are $2 less than the $5 one. Now, for each regular hotdog they sell instead of a jumbo one, they lose two dollars: (399 x 5) + (1 x 3) = 1998 We know this because it says the regular hotdogs are $2 less, meaning there's a two dollar difference. Now that we know all of this, we take the difference between the highest amount they can make ($2000) and the money they actually made ($1432). The difference is 568. Since we know the difference between a large hotdog and a regular hotdog is $2, we just divide the difference of the totals (568) by 2. This will give us the amount of regular hotdogs (284). Now subtract 284 from 400, and you get the amount of large hotdogs (132). To check, simply do this: 132 x 5 = ? 284 x 3 = ? ? + ? = 1432

heinouser. It's something called system of equations. you make two equations, for this problem, you'd do this: j+r=400 J is the jumbo hotdog and r is the regular hotdog. When you add them together you get 400 hotdogs in total The second equation would be: 5j+3r=1432 You get the cost and make it the coefficent of the j and r to make the second equation. So, now the system is j+r=400 5j+3r=1432 Take the first equation and solve for one variable, it doesn't matter which, I'll do r. j=400-r* Plug it into the second equation 5(400-r*)+3r=1432 2000-5r+3r=1432 -2r=-568 r=284 Plug this back into the equation j+r=400 j+289(that's the r)=400 and you're done.

HolyMythosThe way they did it is using equations that basically do the same thing as what I told you. If you don't understand the equations, my way will explain them.

A)Linear B)Quadratic C)Exponential D)Power I chose B cause I remember something by the difference of the difference of y being 2, its quadratic from pre algebra and they didn't teach thsi to me, so idk. And Why is it that I have to take alg in summer class when you guys can take alg in 7th grade in the super 48 state jumbo thing.
