Just now I'm readling all these threads of hybrids and such,it makes me feel weak(?) Imma pure spear Dk and loving it! But seeing great DK's/Drk's is making me feel totally sad because they dish out wonderful damage both with spears and polearms... The point of this thread was to see if i made the right choice at the right time.(Never knew a thing about hybrids when I advanced XD) ~But on the other hand pure spear is great!@!@!@! I was actually thinking about wasting ALOT of money resetting my skills XD Well thanks for reading@! EDIT:I could have taken advantage of both weapons but too late now right?

i was a late hybrid switch to be honest. my 2nd and 3rd job SP builds are mangled a bit because of that, but i managed. just gotta take a bit of tweaking. dont' give up. be creative lol.

if you are indeed level 77, you have tons of time to adjust, since theres not much to "fix" or "repair" really. everyone here can have more input if you were to actually post your existing SP allocation. theres prboably not much wrong with it to begin with.

Ohhh, I have a really different build than you =[ Sort of I don't have FA, nor is my iron will maxed D; To be honest, it's not very hard to restart and build back up to your leve, however, if you find it difficult, I am sure that you can cope with what you have. Being a pure spear drk is not bad at all, it's just that hybrid's are easier to train during 3rd job. If you believe that you can make it to 4th with a pure spear build, I say GO FOR IT! .

hey im pure spear Drk with no regrets and i lvled quite fast 100% leech free to even care about hybrids, after lvl 13x its just all spears anyways. Stay Pure spear Dk Brother!

well the reason for hybrid is really because FA is USELESS actually unhelpful in 2nd job and useless from 3rd job and on so what's the point of maxing it when you can just put the points into something else

Yeah, I'm in the exact same position you are but Pures are facing Discrimination just because of their build. I.E. do not regret it. all you really need do is find a cleric/low 7x priest and train with them at death teddies. besides, you can still train at all the same places as others, just not as efficiently. but note this: himes are ALWAYS going to need to have a dk there for a priest to train against them, and most priests dont care about spear-v-PA when it comes to himes...

I, also am a late (really, really late) hybrid converter. I don't really regret going pure spear initially however, because FA was fun for quite some time. The entertainment it provided might have even been part of my motivation to level. So far, I'm liking my hybrid conversion. As long as you enjoy your character, tread on, my friend, tread on.

It's not to late for you if you do want to go hybrid. However, I've made it to where I am now without ever equipping a polearm. You'll just have to adjust your training to certain mobs to fit pure spear attackin.
