Okay after 1 month of research and searching for parts I finally found them. But now I'm scared that the parts I'm getting might not work together,and that I could find better parts for a better price. Video Card; SAPPHIRE RADEON 4890 CPU; AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb CPU fan; XIGMATEK Dark Knight-S1283V 120mm Long Life Bearing CPU Cooler ( I'm buying this because I heard the stock fan tends to overheat and gets very noisy) Hard drive; Segate Barracuda 1 TB Mouse; Logitech G5 Case; Cooler master Mid tower case. Motherboard; ECS BLACK SERIES GF8200A Memory; Corsair 4 GB (2x2) Extra 120 MM fan; Apevia blue LED fan Power Source; Corsair 650W Can anyone tell me if these parts are okay? If I'm missing anything? If I can get anything better for my budget ( Must be under $900) Any help would be appreciated.

No PSU No DVD Drive In benchmarking, I believe the AMD 940 is > Intel Q8400, and it's cheaper. That motherboard is for an AMD processor and your processor is intel. I would get a different case that has easier cable management and airflow, IMO. Edit: Also, I don't think that case can fit a 120mm fan without modding the case.

OK, you got the wrong CPU and Mobo combo. Your Mobo should be socket 775. i would suggest the Asus P5Q Mobo, good solid choice. Other than that, i see no problems. Edit: Missing PSU. Get a 700w to be on the safe side. =)

Okay I changed the Motherboard and I forgot to add the PSU but I did, Also @Allxrage it must be under 900$ so I chose a 550W

Missing the CD drive as other people said. Neccesary to install the operating system from a cd. Also one of the reveiws says that it has no holes for 120mm fans.

This should be moved to the Non-MS tech section, you won't get much real advice here. qwan456 already listed all the problems; so I'll just suggest what parts you should get instead. For the CPU fan, get this one instead. It does a lot better in terms of cooling. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233029 Though, you really won't need one. The stock fan is perfectly fine if you're not overclocking. For the PSU (which you don't have in your list) , I suggest this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005 It's a high quality PSU. Your current case might not be able to fit that graphics card. It also has limited cooling ability, as it cannot use 120mm case fans. I suggest this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137 instead. It may not look pretty, but it's much more spacious, and has very good airflow. Honestly...who's going to look at your case anyways? Your motherboard also does not support that CPU, so you either have to swap the motherboard, or the CPU. Also, I would not be cheap on the PSU, as it's what is powering your system. If you get a crappy ass one, you can turn your system into a big paperweight. Meh, personally, I like PC Power & Cooling or Corsair PSU. Edit: I have that CM 690 case! I love it. ^^ Easy cable management and great airflow. I recommend you getting that case, TS.

Okay, Ill be changing the PSU to a Corsair 650W EDIT: My OS will be Windows Vista home premium becuase I have a CD.

I just added all your parts, including the motherboard and that heatsink that azn011 recommended. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233029 It was all under $900. The mouse did kind of took a bit of budget too. Edit: Also, not really a gamer, but I don't think you will noticed the difference between a 512mb GPU from a 1GB one, unless you are playing at a high resolution. I believe you can settle for a cheaper version of that 4870, imo. Edit2: Actually, I would get this combo deal. Depending on what GPU you are getting, your computer only going to see 3GB - 3.5GB of it.

I suggest Xubuntu for your computer because it would go faster then your eye could see. If you want any flavor of linux, better not get an ATI.

w8 your buying a quad core and combine it with ddr2? get another motherboard and ddr3 =) unless your gona over clock but then you'll need to buy more cooling but i7 + ddr3 > AMD phenom + ddr2
