They are both equal in the end. In extremes, at the very end [lvl 200] everyone is kind of insane. I would love to see this thread end right here before everyone starts crying and comparing skills.

Equal in the end. It's how you get there that's different. In my opinion : - FP's have a hard time in 2nd job, but have an EXTREMELY easy time in third. I've had some of my friends go from 3rd-4th in a month. - IL's have an average time leveling overall. Much faster than FP's in 2nd job, average pace in 3rd, while FP's have a way above avg lvling rate. Thar you go!

as every1 else says they are equal in the end, the way to decide this is how do u wanna train? do you want to be able to freeze monsters so they cant attack or would you rather use poison on all the monsters and come back to kill them later, you should also check the monsters both train on and decide for yourself which is better suited for you.

They are both pretty much the same... It's just a matter of prefference (Basically you choose between blue or red ;O).

In the end as in high 4th job, i would say I/L Arch Mages have a better time. While ignoring elements, Chain Lightning does a bit more damage in the long run compared to Paralyze. Blizzard freezes, this is a no brainer. Only advantage F/P Arch Mages really have over I/L Arch Mages is that Elquines freezes and i'm pretty sure Paralyze has a better 1 VS 1 damage. But these differences are so small it hardly matters.

They're equal in 4th. Depends if you want to see all red or all blue.

while they are pretty much equal in 4th its not as cut and dry as what color you want to see. along the way they have diffrent training options some of which can be a lot more profitable then others. as some1 said earlier while they are equal in terms of ultimates the ultimate skill freezing is usefull if you cant 1 hit kill things. chain lightning is much more usefull then paralize due to it being a really tough skill that has a wide range hitting many enemies. the summons are close but since i/l's ultimate freezes they have no need for the summon to freeze and thats makes its poison and tougher attack worth not being able to freeze, which ultimately makes i/l's a little better in 4th job though in terms of what we do best which is mobbing they are more or less equal in their ultimates.

Which is better? Why a intless perma magician of course! OT:F/p lvl slow 30-70 but lightning fast 75-11x I/L lvl lightning fast 30-70 but slows down to avrg in 3rd.

We are both equal, I/L's ultimate freezes wich is nice but the summon that F/P mages freezes as well and because of auto attack it helps alot more at newties. CL (chain lightning) is a great 6 hit mob attack that I/L's get but paralyze stuns and has more dmg. In the end its kinda equal.

They're pretty much the same. I have access to both types of AMs, and there isn't much difference between them. I/L feels cleaner and easier to play, F/P is a little trickier since it doesn't freeze and can't mob like I/Ls. Once you get 4th on an FP, paralyze freezes for a very long time but there really is no good use for that so late into the job. At least it evens out though. Blizzard has the advantage of freezing over Meteor Shower but I have never found a place where Elquines wasn't able to freeze what spawns near me, and thus protecting me. I happen to like F/P over I/L because they aren't as clean-cut and reliable, if that makes any sense.
