Well, I am really fed up with Maple's Economy right now.. All the prices are screwed up. Last time I checked prices on ATT Wgs were as followed: 6 Att=20m, 7 Att=32m, 8 Att=40m, 9 Att=68m, 10 Att=110m, 11 Att=180m, 12 Att=420m, 13 Att=?, 14 Att=1.2b, and the rest are just beyond ridiculous. Then there's the problem with meso drops from monster, the 2k drop from Leprechauns are crap now. And everything is just inflating like crazy. They have made the value of meso decrease without changing the meso drop rate of monster, or changing the maximum amount of mesos that can be held. Then, there is the problem with MTS and CS, the trade system has gone mad.. some items haven't deflated.. whereas some have deflated, then some have inflated dramatically and thats the point where I say Nexon is crazy. This fluctuation in prices can be very good or very bad, for those of you reading this, I suggest you take time wisely to figure out the best way to make money during this inflation. Maplestory's economy will start deflating once it's reached a inflation peak, but it won't be the same. Before 8 Att Wg=24m (ish) Now=40m, After deflation, they will be anywhere from 28m-32m. There won't be a 100% deflation back to original price on items due to the tremendous amounts of White Scrolls coming out from the NLC Gachapon, and also because of the current Agent Event prices on Chaos Scrolls won't be the same for a while. Also, prices on dex/luk earrings will also change, while everyone is trying to score a 18+/18+ Dex/Luk Earring before the event is over. All I have to say is Maplestory's economy is on a Roller Coaster. To answer some questions on my opinion. Should I sell my items now when they are inflated or save them and wait til later in hope of more inflation? >>Well, you want to sell them before it starts deflating in price, but you don't want to sell them for less than they will be after the deflation. So sell them when they are a moderate range above their price before the inflation. IE.. Before=300m, Sell for 400m. Should I train before the EXPlosion is over, or should I camp in Mts and live in FM merchanting my world away? >>Depends.. If you have a lot of money and are fairly decent merchanting, be my guest. However.. if you don't have more than 300m and or are less than third job, then continue training with a possible good snipe here and there. Should I be buying NX now? Or are the prices making it not worth it? >>Buying NX now would not be a bad idea, however you would need to know the Nx/Meso rate before selling/buying... and by buying I mean buying items in Mts, and buy selling I mean selling Nx to like friends and guildies (which is not recommended by Nexon due to scams) All the price information from this post are of Windia in MS Global. Anymore questions feel free to ask me.

iPoPTHiZZ Well, if you are a grown up you sure are immature.. and whats that you were saying? You ought to make your stories more interesting cause all I hear is "Blah Blah Blah, Blah blah Blah blah" And I'm sorry about making it seem like Nexon is at fault in the thread starter, I know that the meso sellers have everything to do with this. In any case, I do hope that all of you have a plan in keeping your financial interest at mind. Either sell all the items that you aren't using right after the server check, or regret it because the value of each meso is decreasing as we speak. 40m is the new 20m.

If nexon was smart theyd keep the exp as it is right now everyone has gotten used to it and its made the already very hard leveling curb for newbs a tad less brutal.

They kept the curve for too long. They should have had either a short event with a large decrease, like 60%, or make this permanant. One month was already too long for the curve but this is even worse. Gonna take a lot of getting use to. Again. andycooki said: " I know that the meso sellers have everything to do with this." They really don't, they've just followed the prices. As things have become more expensive in game, 100m mesos will buy less. So it costs less real mony to buy those 100m mesos.

If you were lucky you could have gotten good exp during the Maple Anniversary, that first 32 hours of 2x experience was really good. I helped my friend level from 53-78 in about 4* hours, Family rep 2x+Card 2x=4x+ Event=8x+ HS=12x Leveling was super easy.

Dude, number 1, It's a game, don't panic! Our economy is like this as well. If you weren't living under a rock you'd know that. One more thing you need to know, the ecnomy has to flucuate like this in order to keep demand and supply avaiable.
ThinkImaHero 07/08/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
Prices are dropping already, GFA was 20+ mil in Bera now it's around 13m... Yet the prices sites are selling mesos for are staying as low as normal, meaning it's not because of them but because of another reason.
planktons1 07/08/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
To Hero: It could be that a guild of rich merchants just want to earn money? That's wuite possible because they can get a bunch of their buddies and raise the price of everything so everyone has no choice but to sell their items cheaply for them to sell back at an outrageous price.

Are You people stupid? nexon didn't do this, it was cause of the mesos selling site appearantly they have some sort of mesos dupe. now picture this: 3$ for 100mil which mean any nub/player with real $ can easily get 100mil, so merchanter now start thinking 5mil can = 20mil because everyone now has mesos(large amount). So they start to raise prices of scrolls(easy money) for example glove atk 60%=5mil but some smart merchanter put it for 20mil and buys it himself. Players/ramdom nubs see this and think glove atk scroll are 20mil <---- This is when it start going down.

Why is this thread becoming an argument as to who's to blame over this inflation? Seriously. In any economy the inflation/deflation is caused by a combination of ALL factors. Common sense should dictate this. Yes, meso selling sites are a predominant force at the moment, and so is nexon with the event and their updates. However neither of them are completely to blame. The reasons for this inflation is not only the agent event, and the meso selling sites, but also merchanters and the MTS prices between worlds constantly changing. There are more and more people being inclined to use the MTS as opposed to gacha, and with the anticipated KoC players are preparing equips for their new characters. If any of you have studied economics, you would know that eventually the prices will return to the point of equilibrium. That means that if there is more supply than demand, prices will lower, and vice versa. At the moment (obviously) there is more demand for most items, especially scrolls and good equips. This is why the prices are so high. If you're trying to make a profit out of this, use that information to your advantage. Sell items when you believe the demand is at its hightest, but before there becomes an increasing supply. I believe this will be soon.

Meso sites have nothing to do with it. Read my post above; secondly there is no ''meso dupe'', sites just buy and sell in game currencies of games. As well as the normal fluctuation, what caused this one was one party owl'd and bought all the GFAs. These went up in price and lots of other things followed suit.
