Hi, I plan on making an assassin soon, and was wondering what I should do. Should I make it dexless (if so, what stats, etc) or lowdex? I want to know what I would be able to equip as lowdex or dexless, and when to cap my dex if I go lowdex.

I'm currently making my Assassin into a Low Dex, Capping it at 75 (+ 36 ) Dex in order to be a Low Dex Scarab User. So yeah. That's my case.

If you're going to make a dexless you're going to do awesome damage but don't let that get to your head just as it had on some(perhaps most) of the dexless sins i've seen. The stats necessary for dexlesss sins are 25dex, 4str and int, and all on LUK. It's up to you if you're going to convert to low dex.All possible LUK equips. Low dex = wearing claws through dex stuff. According to the most ppl that i know, Low dex is the best. Stats for lowdex = 4str and int. DEX shud be at least 25 but its usually more for lowdex but not too high like 90s. You make up for the DEX required to wear equipments through DEX equips. For ex: I got 75 DEX I need 100 to wear a claw. I use items like a Zhelm to help me pump my dex up to achieve that amount. As for capping your dex, it depends on your funding. sorry if its a bit vague or missing somethings.

On a potential point of view, if you ever wanted to go for low-LUK build, it is much better to aim for a claw higher than Scarabs, simply because a Skanda easily have almost similiar clean average stat as a Scarab (both 33~34 Watt), not having much efficiency in return for the DEX spent to wear the Scarab. How much DEX to cap at? That will depends on how much DEX on your equips that you can manage to get and the type of claw aimed for. Normal equips including Zakum Helmet (15 DEX), Mark of Naricain (5 DEX), average Earring (6 DEX), average Robes (15 DEX) and shoes (7 DEX), easily that's 46 DEX shot down. Dexless with Skanda definitely will get left behind a low-DEX users after 4th job or so, but remember that the usage of Onyx Apple can possibly reduce the gap in between them.
