Why didn't they just leave the buying auctions there? They didn't hurt anyone, and any confusion caused by them can easily be solved.

I refuse to vote, seeing as you only put one side of the opinion. Besides, I can live without buying auctions. What I really want is the Newest Comments section back!

From what I remember, buying auctions were useless. Just because they aren't there doesn't mean you're missing any opportunities. If someone's going to sell an item, logically they'll put an auction for it. They aren't going to go to the auctions just to check if someone's buying the item. Aya, I really don't see a point in them. People never bid on buying auctions before, they're not gonna bid if they get re-instated.

In addition to what Kevvl said, buying auctions were a hassle, why wouldn't it make logic to just simply look through the Selling auctions, until you find an item suitable? Its fine, wastes less bandwidth, less reports to waste Mr. Basil's time and less issues.

I'll read over some posts really quick but Mr. B removed them because they were misused and not used at all. Some people would have buying auctions for ridiculous prices and as Mr. B stated only "0.02%" of the auctions at that time were buying auctions..
