A/M's deserve more recognition.

Disclaimer: the following thread is my oppinion. you know what that means? This is my way of thinking and is not influenced by yours. *casts flame guard buff* Hey basil, In all fairness, I am not an A/M, but I think they are not given enough credit. Back in my early 8x, before I bought leech and found out how fast it really is, an I/L AM confronted me and asked if I would like to buy leech from him. I said(and I shouldn't have):"not from an AM" More recently, after partying with countless mages and AMs I discovered how much of a disadvantage they have when it comes to MP consumption. I was parties with a friend (F/P) at blue verns, trying to unlock bahamut, random conversation led to him saying: this is too expensive... I'd better get going. At first I thought how rude it was for him to leave with such little warning. but then it hit me. While I was using 2100 mp per cast, he was using 7000, over 3x mine. Putting aside the considerable damage increase from amp, their ultimates become unbearably expensive. You guys are probably getting ready to flip out at captain obvious (me) right now. Now, back to leech. Remember earlier in this post, when I said no to leech from an AM, simply because he was an AM? People want to pay them a fair bit less because they don't have HS. What people tend to forget, is that an AM is stronger than a bishop of equal funding well over 90% of the time. Think about it this way. ohko without HS, or 2hko with HS for the same price? In theory, being able to kill 2x as fast is faster exp than 1.5x exp per kill. Bossing. I see it all of the time. "AMs are useless at bossing" blah blah blah. IF ultimates are allowed at zak, an AM, with amp, and an elemental wand would rack up an overly impressive amount of damage on the arms, being able to attack all 8 at a time, and also have somewhat decent 1vs1 attacks. IMO, if you can handle the lag, a great addition to a team. Cost of pots. As I mentioned before, an AM would use at least twice as many pots as a bishop, a huge price to pay, but looking at the damage difference from an AM to a bishop, it's worth it. What am I getting at? That is indeed a great question. I'm trying to say that an AM is stronger that a bishop, and deserves recognition as a class, which IMO, is hard to play. I can't begin to imagine potting twice as much as I do now. The time and effort put into making an AM is astounding, and they deserve more recognition than they are getting. One of the main reasons why I'm posting this, is because I'm tired of seeing people running In circles around leafre, spamming "b>leach must b bishup@@@@@" If I change the mind of 1 person who thinks an AM is useless at leech (no HS) or at bosses, Ill be happy with this waste of space on basil. So, basil, oppinions? And there's no point I'm flaming... I'm getting pretty tired of people who put others down in order to voice their oppinion.

I agree though, AMs do need more recognition, Because they are also awesome leechers (from what I've heard)and the ele wands only affect them.(unless theres a holy ele wand?)

yeah.. they deserve more credit for all the time they spent getting leach up to that level to sell leach again. gg although, I will give you that.. that they could be good at Zak.. I've seen a couple solo Zak, its pretty fast too

So weird to hear that from a Bishop, who, imo, discriminate AM most. So sad that 1hko and 2hko doesn't make a big different, we wait for almost the same time for the next spawn. Anyway, AM is still cool, e.g. Blizzard + CL allow me to train fast, do some bossing and mob on my way on different maps. We're unique in our style.

You guys are very unique, and, about the difference between Ohko and 2hko, the spawn difference is the slightest bit faster, but only leading to a few spawns per hour, I believe. But when rotating on the skele mini dungeon map, since you are using your ultimate in 2-3 different places, the difference between casting once or twice through each part of the rotation SHOULD, in theory, make a bigger difference.

When it comes to the problems you mentioned I can shake the A/M's hand... exept the potion usage. :S Instead of admiring the A/Ms for going on in spite of having a hard job to play people hate them. That's stupid. Why do people admire those who level with ease rather than those who had to go through something?

Eh at skeles i think both of them are the same cept that the bishop has hs since skeles are weak to holy maybe at newts a/ms are better.

No, there not given much credit for a reason. Mostly because of Holy Symbol and the fact that they don't do double damage on the undead - Skelegons. It's where people leech the most, of COURSE they will want a Bishop. However, it's not that fault anyhow, obviously. Nexon will never make anything fair, so just play what you think is fun.
