Here is why inflation for items like GFA's happened all at once. One guild in one world decided to buy as many GFAs as they could. (notice that the worlds didnt alll inflate at once and bellocan still hasn' t inflated) Now after one guild did that other guilds heard about it and every world has atleast one big merchant guild capable of buy a majority of the GFAs. Once other guilds heard about it they did the same. You might ask why not bello? maybe because the FM guild in bello decided they can make huge profits by buying GFA's and putting them into MTS the MTS price also double but they buy them for the same price as before. Now you might ask why GFA's? because there are several quests that allow you to get GFAs a guild can buy all of them at one time and the next day there will be many more in circulation due to monster drops and the many quests that give them. This allows for there to still be circulation allowing other people to buy and sell and raise the price higher and higher. The guilds also will set the prices above what the market is currently at. So when the price was still 5.5m they set them at maybe 10m but they set many at that price. They didnt sell many because everyone thought it was a rip off but people slowly will follow these prices and everyday they set there prices a bit higher. They didnt sell many but they still managed to raise the price everyday. Now why did the prices stop rising at say 20 or 30m? because no one is buying GFAs to actually use them now they are just buying them to sell for higher so more and more are coming into circulation through drops and quests and MTS from less inflated worlds such as bellocan. Because of this the market will slowly go down at first then as soon as they do start to go down it will go down very rapidly due to people selling them because they are worried this bought an item that will very soon be worth a LOT less then they bought it for so they will settle for breaking even or maybe even less then they bought it for in hopes of not losing many mesos. There are also other factors to why some items are inflating but only a little bit. These are the basic rules of economies. Demand has risen alot because more players play during the summer and most of them dont already have a ton of scrolls stock piled up so the supply is lower. And with the gatcha being nerfed it is causing messos to go from the rich to the poor and the poor items are going up more then the rich items (under 500m ish im calling poor items even though that isnt poor) The bad news is that the items may never go as low as they were before and seeing as guilds had great success in doing this they are more likely to do it again and again. The good news is the market will eventually reach equilibrium and settle down... atleast until the big guilds decide to do this again

Ya its long. I have just seen so many dumb people saying that there are meso generators and stuff when that is completly false

Read it, although i felt it could be greatly shortened, especially for most people who skip anything more than 4 lines. And actually, I feel its the opposite, demand has decreased and supply is increased. Supply will always increase because items will always appear out of no where, from monster to quests to gachapon. Following this, mesos also appear outa no where, due to infinte mesos from monsters. This causes never ending inflation. It isnt possible to cause a deflation in Maplestory, but you could decrease the inflation bt removing mesos like how Nexon made taxes and donations and what not. The reason GFA increased in prices is because it is practically the most used scroll and because mesos selling sites dcreased their prices, Ive noticed sales from the bots everywhere. This means even more mesos in the economy, the prices are inflated even more.

You forgot to include that the owner of the guild that started this trend owns Game-Cuuu.whatever and has employed this to raise his profits. Otherwise you've got it just about right.
