Spears Or Pole Arms?

I was wondering, since im going to be a spearman, is i should use pole arms or spears. im not aware if funding is an issue but apparently there's a 3:2 attacking speed for pole arm? and if i choose spears, will that affect me in any way in the future? and vice versa? Edit: is there maybe another class in warrior i should consider? or stick to spearman

Hybrid is the most efficient option. You get to use both 3rd job skills at their strongest. Pole Arms generally don't have a speed advantage with normal attacks (infact, most of the time, they're slower). What pole arms have an advantage in, is the slash:stab ratio. 3 slashes every 2 stabs. And since PAs are better on slashes, and Spears are better on Stabs... it kinda makes it obvious why PAs have the advantage.
