Weapon Choice for a Page/WK/Pally?

So I'm finally going to sit down and seriously play my poor little page whose been sitting at level 30 for god knows how long now. I just keep running into Paladins and White Knights of late, and every last one of them have been super friendly and nice, and the more I hang out with them, the more I like their skills. So I feel I must give the class a fair try. Buuuttt..... I don't know which weapon I should go with? Sword or BW? 1H or 2H? Attack Shield? What? 0_o; Which is cheaper? Faster? Stronger? Do Paladins have any attacks that would screw one of their weapons over (like axes and Hero's brandish) ? Easier to get a hold of? Is it better to be 1H at one point in levels, and 2H at another? If so, when/why? Should one even bother being 1H if one does not have an attack shield? I hear they're terribly expensive. I'm not terribly well funded, (um yeah, I can throw like 20 mil at this character.... I realize that's not much at all compared to what some people toss around) and I'm not terribly obsessed with damage. Sure I like to see big numbers, but compared to some of the other classes I've played, honestly I don't think that will be an issue unless there's some strange huge difference between weapons anyhow? I'd say I find speed more important than damage, because I really hate feeling like it takes a minute between each attack. And the "oh shiny" factor, that's important to me. Probably even more so than damage. But hey, WKs definitely have that with all their charges. And a couple questions which I'm sure will have highly opinionated answers (hence why I'm asking): Which weapon did you go with? Which do you think looks better, BW or sword?

Level 50 BW Page here and I don't regret it at all! I don't really care about the weapon speed considering I have booster and it doesn't bother me that I have unstable damage. I love seeing high hits but if you wanted it for the best damage a 1H with an Attack shield would work out pretty great and considering 2h Swords have better DPM over BW but that doesn't bother me. I love being a BW every moment of it If you went with a sword Pally, they're damage is much more consistent but note that most swords are pretty costly compared to BW's. If you went BW you will see a few high hits here and there but sometimes low damage. At level 50 my Page can hit a maximum of 3k+ but also a minimum of like 800's-1k's depending on the defense and stats of the monster your fighting. Sure sword looks better but I love being a BW and I've gotten more motivation than ever for now... It's all up to you @Above, other way around bud.

Crushed skull is freaking godly.... 2H bw are much cheaper then any 1h/2h sword Now, 1h sword + atk shield... Most damage possible, however REALLY expensive. Talking over just 200m lol.... not including sword either xD

Basically the only reason i made a page was to use a stonetooth, But if that weapon was not available, i would have gone bw for sure

Cheaper, 2h sword. The Devil's Sunrise is possibly the cheapest level 90 weapon in the game. Stronger, 1h sword. With an attack shield and a well scrolled 1h weapon, nothing can match the DPS. Faster, 1h sword. They're Fast(5) or Fast(4), while 2h swords are (5) or Normal(6), 1h BW are Normal(6), and 2h BW are mostly Slow(7). Paladins have no specific attacks that screw either weapon over. Easier to get a hold of, 2h sword. Like I said, Devil's Sunrise - and to some extent Blue Screamer - are very easy to find. They're also far more available prescrolled. 1h vs 2h for a Paladin is a matter of range vs. speed - 1h have more speed, 2h have more range. They appeal to different people. I think BW looks better, and that's why I chose them.

Despite all the advantages listed above, there are still some downsides necessary to be informed: 1. 1h sure is faster than 2h, but however, using 1h weapon will results in shorter Advanced Charged Blow range, the main offence of elementary knight, this would be quite a problem against mobs with hit box distribution like that of Time Temple Guardians where there are fewer hit box near the floor for example. Heck, I remember one thread complaining about how hard it is to freeze Guardians with ACB efficiently. Since the range of Blast was improved recently, it wont be much of a hinder, since Blast will only come quite late. 2. Blunt Weapon is said to be cheaper that Sword, but one thing to keep in mind in the lack of demand, which easily means you will need to self-scroll a good BW. The price and availability of BW scrolls is quite alright I would say, but bear in mind, how many clean BW do you usually see in FM to be bought and mass-scroledl? Heck, most people tends to NPC most BW anyway, so, finding enough supply for scrolling might be something to remember. 3. Remember that Paladin have Guardian, which requires the use of a shield. While not a necessity, using a shield for Guardian might contain aesthetic value for some. Similiarly, I would say higher level Sword seems to be more aesthetic (i.e Heaven's Gate) compared to BW (i.e Morningstar). 4. Blunt Weapons of higher levels mostly are normal (6) or slow (7) speed, including Crushed Skull, while Swords ranged from fast (4) to normal (6), excluding the slow ass Berserker and Beheader. Weapon Speed Reference . besides, Swords are most easily available pre-scrolled. 5. There is one uncommon build of hybrid weapon Paladin, wielding both BW and Sword, adapting to the damage necessity and mobbing necessity. 6. Funding-wise, it is more efficient to go with 2h setup rather than the 1h setup, considering the damage potential, in other words, 1h non-shielded setup is plain non-efficient.

Theres no real disadvantage like axe heros to a sword hero. Blast's animation looks like a stab but its actually random swing or stab damage. only real difference is: sword=higher min/lower max/expensive/faster BW=lower min/higer max/cheap/slower

I think swords look cooler. If you like speed or stable damage, go with swords. If you like cheaper priced weapons or higher maximum damage, go blunt weapon.
