Anyone else miss the "old" maplestory?

I'm talking 3 1/2 years ago. When the game first came out. Everyone just puttered along at thier own rate, there were no merchants driving prices up, no rich characters leeching an alt to level 200, leveling actually meant something back then. I was proud of my 35 hunter, my 42 cleric, and my 28 warrior. Since I have come back to maplestory (about a month ago after 2 1/2 years of not playing) I have found it incredibly expensive for EVERYTHING, MUCH easier to level up, and just generally not as welcommin as a community. And I used to play on Scania (when it was called Scandia) for heaven's sake. I wish Nexon would cut the crap and bring back the old style of maplstory.

I saw a thread like this before. Um, yes, we understand you miss it, just stop making these threads. Times have changed, and thats why you must change along with them or you'll always be two steps behind. Sorry, I have to agree with you very slightly. But it's life.

yeah but gms is only 4 years old cos it had it's 4th anniversary this year xD. well there's always the pro's and cons in changes of the game. Leveling is more fun now, cos its hella easy. The community got messed up, because everyone turned so self centered

-Raises Hands- *yeah Hands* and for Firionxx: "hell, i can even buy my way through maple story now" Its not fun like that........at all....i miss it. i had a lvl 46 cleric...soooo messed up stats. but i loved it...and trained it from 39-46 at green mushy caps...now i have no motivation.

-Raises Hands- I miss the old days... Back when getting to lvl 70 was like insanely crazy and ppl would go insane when someone got 3rd job. And the days when everyone was waiting for the 3rd jobs to come out... Now my friend just hit lvl 105 after 1 month or so of playing, he hasn't trained since lvl 71 2 weeks ago.
