Why target mages?

| Mages are a popular leech selling class. But with all the people saying that we are ruining the economy with our leech selling, it's not right for us to be blamed for it. I know leeching may be slightly unfair to the rest of you, and I do understand that it takes out the point in this game. (I, personally, love training and the art of training.) But leeching is our own way of providing a service to people to make mesos our way. Leeching is a SERVICE, that you pay for. It is like going to a restaurant and buying something to eat. You can cook for yourself at home too, why buy it from a restaurant? Same concept with leeching. Leechers may seem lazy, but I know several leechers who afk on the rope and use their other computer to merchant while being leeched. They suck at training, and they won't ever understand the fun of it. Oh well. Get this idea in your head please - those mesos they buy leech with don't fall out of the sky into their pockets. Those of you mages who don't sell leech and believe it's unethical, I respect that entirely. My point is, why doesn't anyone blame the Heroes, NLs, BMs, etc. that sell Bigfoot/Anego leech? Or even zakum arm leech? -Points to the thread that says we should add a cooldown for ultimates or setting a limit to NLC pots.- Those things don't effect the attack-classes that sell boss leech. So why are we mages targeted? Excuse me basil, but I believe that if we mages are suppose to "play fair", the rest of you aren't getting anything good from it too. Another good point made: tencachon said: "Mage sells leech for around 10mil per hours. Hero sells BF leech for 10mil per BF usually for less than 10minute (could be 60mil per hours at good timing). So, turn the flame to Hero + NL etc..." Edit again: My main point is that why aren't attack classes blamed for leech as well. (I guess I said too much defending us leech sellers and leech buyers.) When MS was created, I'm sure "leeching" wasn't intended and the ultimates were probably not made for leeching. Actually, who knows? The creators of Maple Story never told us what we should do with our skills. They gave those skills to us, made it for us, and we use our own brains to devise a method to earn mesos. |

| Tigeralive said: "i dont care about what peoples think about leech , i just do it" Same here. I sometimes go to Haunted House ch 1 to pick up a BF leech buyer (on busier days, you can simply walk into NLC of any ch and get a buyer lol) and there's often a lame person sitting there shouting about how leech is unfair and crap. I just ignore them and keep going on with my business. xD |

| It only exists because of % pots. And Leeching wouldnt exist if the mages didnt leech the heroes to past 120, because before you could buy leech, warriors were the fewest class with 4th job. Mages plvling warriors is what caused the leech pandemic, so I totally agree that it was mages that started it. |

| I don't really care if someone leaches, just as long as they keep quiet about it. It's the people who start flaunting their level and say things like "omg that took so long" and "wow that was hard" almost as if they actually did work. A lot of my friends/guildmates have the same opinion where we're fine with leachers as long as they do it in a civilized manner. It's when people start acting like 4 year old kids that bug most people. there's absolutely no need to shove it in other people's faces about how quickly you can level compared to non-leachers Same thing can be said about people complaining towards mages selling leach, the people complaining need to shut up. lol and @ the drk a couple pages back accusing the 138 corsair of leaching all 138 levels (even if she did admit to it). You're in no position to start stereotyping since someone can just as easily say "z0mg he used hax to get to 133 just like every other dk" see what i'm getting at? Just don't bring those kind of things up... |

NLs can sell BF leech at Lvl 120ish+ (well, I've been doing so and I'm not godly or anything). But if there weren't as many Warriors out there, we NLs probably would be able to charge more and decrease some leeching anyways? xD |

I believe they were pretty high in numbers because before 4th job, they can train easier on zakum whilst mages get stuck with regular monsters. Anyways, leeching isn't the only way to level. We may have started it, but hey, leeching existed way before 4th job. Maybe not on such a big scale, or not exactly the best % per hour. I can't really say who started it first, and that would be a childish method of argument, but if leeching is so bad, don't we all have our faults in it? It's not just us mages. |

Since Nexon, it's been taken off, so leeching became legit. It doesn't matter if it's "unfair", even though it isn't. Also, leeching DEFLATED the economy; people are just arguing over their often illogical moral views. There's three kinds of people in this world, according to economy, in my opinion. There's the self-made men, the men that take advantage of others, and the lazy ones. The lazy ones are generally always unsuccessful, using their money wildly and running out, or starting out with no money to begin with and refusing to turn into a self-made man. The self-made men can become upper-middle class, but can't really become rich unless they gamble, or become a person that takes advantage of others. The only ones that can become rich are the men that take advantage of others, either through inheritance or playing the market. EDIT: Of course there are those that discover something, but those make up a small percentage of the small percentage of rich people. |

Personally I think that it is even better the fact that the money paid to a mage is going to end being spent with pots. Because spending a great value with pots everyday from mages will case to the money that goes around FM to be less. Resulting in people spending less money with expensive stuff causing the price to go down. Imagine if mages never spent this money with % Pots to train with their ultimates ever... The mesos in FM would be A LOT resulting in expensive crap all the way. |

| Who cares if people leech? They have the money they can do what they want with it. Some of my friends that leech have surpassed me by tons of lvl's into their 140's relying solely on leeching.. but after a few weeks many of them had quit. Many leechers hate training and can only rely on leech, by the time they reach into high lvls they all just quit anyway because they can't level past their current lvl without relying on leech... for the people who grind and take time to train, don't be jealous of leechers.. they're bound to quit soon anyway. |

That would lead to less mesos circulating around the fm. but now with % pots around, mages save more money which results in more mesos in the fm. in other words, % pots, according to your statement actually makes things more expensive in the fm. |

Let's say if mages never used the money to buy any kind of pot to use their skills to train or leech someone. It is almost the same thing. |
