I don't get why there isn't a death sentence in the US.

I mean, it's bad enough that guns are legal. I think guns should be illegal, the murder rates would go down A LOT. In Australia, there aren't as much crime because guns are illegal. I believe that if a person killed someone with malicious intent, they should be sentenced to death. I don't think jail is punishing enough and the consequences for a murder is life in jail, where you don't pay taxes, you get rewarded for good behavior, and get 3 square meals a day? Why is it wrong to sentencing someone to death for taking the life of another? :/

That's a lot of space being used up for a cemetery. I'm sure people would start saying "I DON'T WANT HIM BEING BURIED NEAR MY RELATIVE/FRIEND! HE'S A FIEND!"

There is capital punishment in the US. It's usually more expensive to get someone sentenced to capital punishment than the cost for life in person.

Yeah that makes sense, but the law can be pretty soft on these things too, you wouldn't want that same person walking around in 5 years (not sure if this is correct)

That's what it's like in Singapore. You kill someone, you get death sentence, you accidentally killed someone but with intention, life in jail, you kill someone due to self-defence, WALAAAAAH, you just helped yourself.
