I have about 120m to spend on a metus, i currently train at newtie sniping. Should i go for a blue or red metus and what atk could i afford?

I would say blue metus higher att speed = higher dpm. And also what skills do u need to have to snipe effective at newtie?

A blue metus attacks 10% faster then a normal metus, except for Hurricane, where all bows have the same speed. So for example if you have a 105 atk Blue Metus, it is equal to a 105*1.1 = 114.5 atk normal Metus. And a 105 atk Blue Metus is cheaper then a 114 atk normal Metus.

I used a regular metus cuz of the speed bonus (+11 speed) this way, u can travel around maps faster but it's pointless if ur newt sniping.

120m can get you, Bera prices, a 109 attack metus. I suggest you scroll your own, like me. I had under 30m and i scrolled a 107 one, blew the last slot with a 60%. By the way, roaming around the FM for scrolls, I've found out that Red Metus's highest attack clean is 92, for Black its 95-extremely rare, and Blue is 96.
