 | It's best to work on one skill at a time. That way, you aren't left with a bunch of weak useless skills, but rather a few strong ones. I'm pretty sure Arrow Eruption is still used in 4th job. It has no minimum range, which is its biggest advantage. It's also stronger than Iron Arrow, since Iron Arrow's damage decreases as it passes through monsters. |

| AE is alot better than maxing thrust, a useless skill. |

| you should just max one attack at a time and AE is a very useful skill to have |

| what's the point of maxing blizz if it's not an attack skill? it's just used for the freeze part. Stop it at 21 |

| Yea, this is a pretty bad build, tbph. First of all, AE is 1000x more useful than max bliz or max thrust, and considerably more useful than max eagle and MB too. It shouldn't be given the shaft like that. Bliz shouldn't have any more or less than 21 points. Most people get somewhere between 15 and 21 eagle, as 15 is the requirement for frostprey, and most don't get more than 21 because frostprey almost completely replaces it at lvl 1. Thrust after lvl 10 is iffy, as it doesn't do a whole lot and you might already be at max speed anyway. As for your order, there's no reason to get 1 MB so early. Don't get any MB until you're getting AE. Also, don't split build like that. Adding 2 to one skill and 1 to another just gives you an assortment of bad skills. |

| Find the person who told you AE was useless, and shoot him, aya. If that person was me (because I hardly use AE while training, only questing) then I'll go get my gun. |

Yes a sniper with no ae is a sniper with no hope, to put it very bluntly. Trust me, Ae is still as useful in 4th job. it enables you to snipe froma safe spot w/o worrying of the monster magic attacks |

 | Sorry to sound mean, but I gotta say this build fails hard. Hawk does not become really useful until you can middle at jr newties good, which is around 95-100+. AE>Strafe in terms of training, but its your choice on which to do. Mixing 2 skills in maxing them is a stupid idea, its best to stick with one skill at a time. Maxed blizzard sucks, lv21 is the best level to keep it at for the 3 second freeze. It is not an attack skill. Going without AE is a horrible idea, AE is still usable in 4th job, and gives you some of the best solo %/hr places in 3rd job. Maxed thrust is not too worth it, get it to 9-10 for the 18-20 speed then just use simple equips to get 140 speed. Hawk is also not really worth maxing, lv21 is 95% chance to stun and hawk becomes useless in most training spots when hitting 120. Your end build should look something like this. Maxed Strafe Maxed AE Maxed Puppet Lv21 Blizzard Lv21 Hawk 9-20 Thrust (20 thrust=9 MB) 9-20 MB |

It is handy because of its use at skeles. What I would do is, if you want to put more skill points on thrust, take 6 out of eagle and put it onto thrust, since eagle gets completely replaced by frostprey once you hit level 120. |

| Well, this is my take on it, which is similar to the others. I don't believe you need puppet so early as you have in your build. Rather than those points of puppet, you should put points into MB to get at least one point of Arrow Eruption for a bit. As already mentioned, Golden Eagle isn't too useful in your 70s. However, I personally rose puppet to 5 in my late 70s just to get one point in eagle for looks =p MAXING eagle is not necessary. At 21 the stun rate is at 95%, which is sufficient for us snipers. You CAN get it to 30, but 21 does its job well, from personal experience. Arrow Eruption varies from location to location. We use it exclusively to train at places like Typhons, or use it as one of the last lines of defense should we be mobbed. It is a vital skill for snipers and I'm positive we'll be using it fourth job as well. This is also why I suggest you get 1 point of AE early so you can understand the skill's uses. Blizzard, no questions asked. It should be no higher than 21, as that's when freezing lasts 3 seconds. Those 9 points can be used for more important things than a small increase in damage for a skill that you don't use as an offensive attack. Blizzard is used to hold enemies in position for strafes or iron arrow. It also helps save pots. Don't feel bad that your build has a lot of criticism from us. At least you know we're trying to help you =] |

I've drawn up a new skill build based on your guys suggestions with the overall goal of no thrust and 21 blizzard. Appreciate the help everyone. :D |
