Question about guys who playing as girls

Why do they do it? I only do it to keep balance in the gender of my characters But what are their reasons? O.O

Because it's my story. Honestly, I don't understand what the hell the problem is. Since I'm a guy I'm obligated to make a male character? It's not like my eyes ACTUALLY take up half my head. It's not like my height is ACTUALLY 2 heads high. It's not like I ACTUALLY have violet eyes. So what does my gender of my character have to do with anything?

My friend plays girl characters to tease the boys.. xD I play a boy character, and I'm a girl. I love the hairstyles the guys have.. and I'm not hit on by 14 year old little boys complaining to date them. :| I don't know, I'm weird like that. xD
