made this thread to clear up misconceptions. and to escape my Algebra 2 summer work. FAQ: 1. (ticks me off the most) Christians tell other non-christians to go to hell/burn in hell. answer: I can almost guarantee that it never happens, because if you know Christians at all, it's that they are loving people. have you ever seen a priest tell some kid to go to hell? Nooo. 2. If they are loving people, why did Christians fight wars and kill people? Also, killing people is breaking the 5th amendment, christians tell us to not kill yet they kill, HYPOCRISY? answer: Crusades were caused because christians wanted jerusalem while muslims and jews also wanted jerusalem, conflict, etc. Christians are people as well, Christians recognize themselves as sinners, and so we sin, we all do. get rid of the "double standard" that Christians should be perfect. Though it is kind of true to say that Christians refrain from sinning. 3. I don't want to be a christian because i don't want to have to be perfect and refrain from sex etc. answer: christians see themselves as sinners that cannot resist temptation. No one is perfect. but God. And Jesus 4. If god made the world, who made god? Not possible god doesn't exist answer: God is eternal. meaning he was never created and will never end. Like a line in geometry <------> extending forever on both sides. Therefor he was never made, he always existed and will always exist. ask away

I personally don't like smoking, and my Grandpa smokes. I don't hate my Grandpa for smoking, I just don't like it when he smokes. In addition, God is not out there to try and send everyone to hell. If Hitler felt bad for what he did, good for him, but it won't take away what he did wrong. 3. Maybe God made the universe in the Big Bang. "Why can he?" makes no sense.

Explain starving kids on the streets 2.God loves everyone How the hell do you love hitler? 3.God created the earth big bang" 1. As in to treat everyone equal. 2. Hitler was corrupted by society, no one is born evil. 3. God created the Big Bang?

You know what I will ask this. Why do you look so down upon Christians that believe in God and Evolution?

MaikuX3 said: "We should be asking Mindstormer these questions. Not someone as close minded as you " On what basis do you say he is close-minded? And clearly, if you've ever spoken to Mindstormer about his religion, you would know that he is unmoving in his stance, something which I'm guessing you'd call "close-minded" unless you have some unseen reason for proclaiming him as anything otherwise. What would that be?

Why can't we apply the "God is eternal thing" to matter and energy and not even need a God to create things in the first place? After all, energy cannot be destroyed is a law of science. God is eternal is not.

Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. Mathew 6:24

If this was mean for an atheist, I would say that I personally don't look down on people that believe in god and accept evolution. However when that start to say that "Oh, God made them so they could evolution" I find that to be utter nonsense because they are just making excuses for an old claim.

Why doesn't God answer an atheist's prayers? Is God male or female? Are there multiple gods since he can create anything? What's God's real name? Edit: Where does God reside in the universe? Answer: In your imagination. D:

(belief meaning accepting a claim without any evidence)" that's a very good question. ask yourself, how can 60% of the world believe in something thing they accept without any evidence? think about it. (don't claim that more than half the world are just blind idiots though -_-) I'll answer for myself. if you look at everything from a humble perspective, you'll notice the beauty of this world. Then you'll think, how could all of this be so perfect, how are we so great? Now think about how special humans are. The common christian belief is that humans are above animals. Why? Because we are made with a "greater" design. We are 10000x more advanced than animals in insight, emotion, and technology. Why are we so great? if you think about it, only a super creater could have created such a world with so much beauty and depth. only a super creator could create a species like us so great. just think of all the amazing things in this world. another thing to this question that i'll answer personally is experiencing the "power of god." God is all loving. you are never alone in life, and you will always have someone that will love you, god. its something I can't explain that will make much sense. like, what makes preists dedicate their lives to spreading the "power of god?" think about that. My pastor is a certified doctor, but he stopped that and his salary went to 0 just to spread the word or god. hope i didn't sound like a freaking idiot

Wantootree said: " He made a homophobic thread, but that's all I remember, perhaps he did more." Now it depends on what you mean by homophobic. If he said that he disapproves of the homosexual lifestyle, then I don't see why you should discount everything he says because of that. He's entitled to respectfully present his opinion, no matter how close-minded you may think him to be for holding an opinion contrary to yours.

PanPix said: " If God made humans with all their special and amazing structure. He made the world and all of its grandor, he made everythig that is. Therefore he made evolution. If he just made us to stay the same way throughout time that wouldn't make sense." Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. So if we were created in God's image, why would evolution better us? Is God admitting that we can become better than what he made us through evolution? Is he thinking that his image can be bettered by evolution? ^ Above: You missed my point.
