Purpose for Ultra-Low-STR

We can all agree, the purpose for Low-STR is to have more dex. I see alot of people that believe 55 STR is the max you should have. First off, why get a STR scrolled overall? A 20 dex overall if about half the price of 20 str overall. I could get a 30 stat bonus, using a red ades scrolled for dex. If i scrolled it for STR, i could only get a 20 stat bonus. So why, would I cap str at 55 or lower, and use a 20 stat boost overall, instead of upping it to 65 or 70, and getting a 30 stat overall? Can someone please clear up, how capping base below 60, (for a bowman, not crossbowman) would help me get more dex?

I wouldn't scroll anything for str, I'd only use the str that the equips already come with.

Str equips may be priced higher, but the wierd thing is, scrolls are equal if not cheaper. Overall dex 30% in mardia is 8-10m. Overall str 30% is like 6-7m. I have a 26 Str 6 Dex Arzuna and I'm lovin' it.

Not like that in my world. Overall STR 60% is 2-3m higher. Also, I think the maple warrior arguement is flawed. Having 10-20 str more would only mean 1 to 2 more dex, which is barely anything compared to the price of STR equips. I mean, the only reason I can see that seems viable is the STR top and DEX bottoms. (Sorry if I got that backwards) But even if those cost less, finding them is a real pain. Also, I believe a MoN is better than an egged HT pendant. MoN gives 10 w. att which is equal to at least 50 dex at level 110, and more as you level higher. An egged HT is worth 45, if you combine STR and DEX, so why would I want an HT? I only see it fit for mages.

I have a 14 str 4 dex top and 16 dex pants so I get 34 stats, 20 dex and 14 str, which on an overall is just about impossible to find and expensive to scroll but perfectly suits my needs. With a zhelm and my deputy star, I can equip a Raven with 43 base str, plus I'm not heavily compromising to meet str requirements and there's flexibility for me to get more str when I need it, or I can always add it, but for now, I don't need to and that is the benefit.

well, for me, going lowSTR is like a must, but it was like my goal besides STR equips cheapness (in bello, overall/cape STR scrolls are cheaper, but are rarer) losing 21 AP into HP, and 26 AP into INT/LUK it's too big of a loss of DEX for me to ignore it. i've managed through merchanting, a lot of scrolling luck and some buddies to reach my goal, using a shiner with 60 base STR. i didn't went lowSTR for damage, nor MW. it was just the fun of it ^^ my overall gives me 31 stats, 11 STR 20 DEX (amongst other unimportant ones, obviously) and i've worked hard to either attain for cheap or scroll my other equips (12 STR PAC, 3 STR boots, 2 STR gloves, 17 STR zhelm, MoN). my overall, while self scrolled, costed me 65m (back when 60% over DEX were 8m, now they're 5-6m)

My str is 40. but my final bow, LVL90 night raven's eye, has a str limit or 70str, and is fast speed, and is 116att =P

Just in case newer equips come out that raise a lot of str. Also a str pac is cheaper than a dex one as a majority of other classes need dex. Lower str also allows you to estimate how much str you might need in the future just in case.
