Which of these would you rather play?

I've sort of become an RPG collector, but I haven't really taken the time to play through many of them, and since I have so many, it's hard to choose a starting point. Which of these games would you rather play through; *Final Fantasy 1, #Final Fantasy 2, *Final Fantasy 3, Final Fantasy 4, Final Fantasy 5, Final Fantasy 6, #Final Fantasy 7, #Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 9, #Crono Trigger, #Tales of Symphonia, #Earthbound, Riviera: The Promised Land, *Golden Sun, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, or have one to recommend? *= Played completely through once #=Played for a while, but never a complete playthrough Please, give reasons also. I won't take 'FF7 cause it's the best one' as a legit answer. (Except, I'm expecting it now.)

I'm surprised you're one of the rarities who have actually even heard of Riviera. It's quite an original game, so I'd suggest you play through that. It's fairly good as well. Yggdra Union is also one of the better GBA RPGs. Both Golden Sun games are a must, as is Tales of Symphonia.

I'll give it a shot, they sound like fun.

I'd say Golden Sun if you have a gameboy advance and the cartridge. That way, two birds, one stone?

I've heard they do...

Apparently they share a common Asgard, but storywise there is little that connects them. Of course, the Archangel from Riviera makes a "cameo" appearance in Yggdra Union, as do Diviners.
