Every single damn time I try to zakum, and once you click in, to get inside the map, -boom, auto DC- happens all the time, with no lag whatsoever. its basically the ONLY time I dc in the game. Also, I've never had this problem in the past, this is a recent thing, and some serious crap, cus I always zak. Anything I should do? Please, much help is appreciated, thanks!

Your low on some sort of memory or virtual memory or something. (I used to DC everytime i walked into the Sewers/King's Tomb in GPQ, and had to reinstall maple/disable some of my firewall/protection)" Alright guys, thanks well, I'm trying to reinstall maple right now, already at 42%. I'll take what you guys said into consideration. Anymore suggestions would still help me out though. |

On Vista? Make sure you have service pack 2. Sp1 caused DCs in zakum, although all I knew of were at the end.. To clarify on what charleskim said, open task manager, go to processes tab, click User Name so that all of YOUR process are up, and close everything but explorer.exe and the maple story process. What also may help is to right click the maple story process and set it to the highest priority. I used to dc (eventually) in HT if I did not do this. It may help, hope it does.

Explorer.exe is your taskbar and icons. It takes up quite a bit of juice so cut it off. To restart it just go to Task Manager > File > New Task and type 'explorer.exe' w/o quotes.

Yes, I mean end processes. As the other people said, you CAN end explorer.exe, but I'd only do that if your comp has bad stats. It really doesn't seem like this is the case, but if you'd like to check, right click the My Computer icon and select properties, we'd like to know all but the "Registered to:" section. And ONLY end explorer.exe when you are going into Zakum, when you end this process you can only get it back to normal by restarting. You can't open Firefox or anything that wasn't already open when you ended the process. You may be fine with ending all your user processes and not the explorer and maplestory ones. (Run a virus check just to be sure, I do it whenever something weird happens.)

No no no, don't end your proccesses, just google "game booster", its a program that shuts down useless stuff on your computer which your not useing and which take up space. So pretty much it makes your computer faster and changes it to "game mode"
