 | Would a Dark Mate be faster than an Asura dagger with booster, or would they be the same? I know this is the wrong section, we all know warriors are the masters of weapon speed analysis (and the bandit section seems a little empty) Thanks. |

| Although I do not claim I am an expert in Daggers,I'll assume the Asura's Fast[4] and the Mate is Faster[3],that makes sense to me. The "cap" is Faster[2],Fastest[1] is the instant damage type such as Power Guard,it's nearly non-existent and can't really be factored in. Basically, both the Asura and the Mate would end up with the same speed, although I can't say this is 100% reliable. If possible, trying both Weapons out would be the best thing to do. Note:Booster takes off 2 speed levels,Fast[4]--->Faster[2],Faster[3]--->Fastest[1],but Fastest[1] is unavailable, making it be Faster[2] instead. |

 | Thanks eva, that is what I suspected might be the case as they tend to be similar prices in mts (though will wait to see if anyone else can back that up - 4x bandit can't exactly test the theory ) |

The 'attack speed' on mage weapons is only effective when whacking things or with... one of the f/p 3rd job skills? Explosion? I think. Of course this info was from over 2 years ago, so could be wrong/things could have changed. And of course no 4th jobs then xD |

| I have both and tested it. It feels a bit off but I think thats just because i hear/think ones is faster then the other. They seemed to be pretty much the same. I'm hoping to get a Fan or Dark Mate, but Kebob seem to have quite higher atk, but are slower and have booster problems (or so i've heard). I was wondering what atk a Kebob would have have to be to beat a 95atk Darkmate/fan. |

Is that an attempt at sarcasm? To Magicians,Weapon speed doesn't matter at all, excluding Explosion, for all the other classes,it does. |
