Most of you, I am assuming will say the truth. However, if I directed you into an unusual statement, what would be your response? A depressing truth, or a optimistic lie? This is completely subjective and will vary on opinion. I am just curious of what everyone will say.

I believe the best answer is "I do not know"

The truth can shine, but the lie can conceal. So I'm stuck in the middle.

GangztaXSometimes, it better to do a small lie, than to give the depressing truth.

You'll eventually get caught in a web of lies if you figure that telling a lie is better or easier than the truth.

tiganior1 said: "The truth can shine, but the lie can conceal. So I'm stuck in the middle." If I placed someone in a certain scenario (listed in the top), that would be most people's answer. Since this is based on opinion, we will never know... Seems like a paradox in my opinion.

Depends on how depressing the truth is, really.

People that know me know that im brutally honest most of the time. Id say the truth even if it eill hurt the person you should tell the truth unless lives are on the line then maybe you can lie.

The answer depends on what you're trying to do and who you are talking to.
winddrake 07/04/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
winddrakeA depressing truth, once accepted, becomes not so depressing.

I lie to you just to see you crash and burn later. ^_^ But it really depends on the situation, and how blind you are to it. "A blind man can only take the path he knows well, for which it is one he has journeyed many times", In other words: If you don't see whats coming, you'll just have to learn from it. Philosophical Answer. ^_^

You want the truth? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!

IThrowFastI think telling the depressing truth is better to prevent even more depression when they really find out the truth o.O Unless they don't find out
