msvcp71.dll not found?

When I start playing maple (I just started back today and downloaded it) I try to go in windows mode and it says, "msvcp71.dll not found" and yadda. Well If I ignore it and press okay and play for a while It just shuts off my computer I'm not sure if it's overheating when it shuts off, but my fan sounds fine so it may be because the "msvcp71.dll not found" thingy too. Anyways I'm hope you guys can help me sooo ): any solutions? Oh and When I don't go in windows mode It just shuts off my computer (not sure if you call it a "crash" or not.) EDIT: I tried all of these still says it wasn't found..

ok guys the reason u r having this problem is because ur missing tht particular file in system32 SOLUTION: google msvcp71.dll and make sure u save it to ur desktop or w.e, then move tht file to ur system 32. This should solve most of the problem u guys were having happy mapling! any questions? contact me at ogw4nn4b on aim!

IIRC, it a .dll from one of the .Net frameworks.

Yeah just google it and then extract it to your desktop and with the msvcp71.dll file place that directly into your nexon/ maplestory folder. That's how i fixed the problem with my comp.

i get that. it pops up and i close it but ms keeps working xp. jus when the sign is up maplestory is blank

Guys, I have a problem. I just decided to download MS again and when I try to open it, it says "This version of Maplestory is not compatible with your computer" O_o Anyone know how to fix this?

Update to the newest microsoft frameworks. Just Google .Net Framework 3.5. Its somewhere on microsoft.com

Its a file from the visual C++ runtimes but as everyone has said u can update ur ms .net framework vrsion and get the vc++ runtimes through it
