Help: My dog's leg

Okay so yesterday morning my dog (chihuahua to be specific) was on my bed. She usually whines to go on my bed so I put her. I share a room with my stupid little brother. He can't do anything right. I hate him with a passion....spoiled brat -_-. Anyways, his and my bed are about 1.5 feet apart or so. And my dog usually jumps back and forth. Now, seeing as how awful and stupid my brother plays with her, as I told him NOT to do it, my dog was about to jump to my bed but my brother grabs her because he still wanted to play with her. He failed at grabbing her and she fell off my bed. I yelled at him so much. Now, her leg is hurt. I don't know what it might be. She can't walk with it anymore. She just lifts her leg up now. I told my dad to take her to the vet but he said wait until tomorrow to see how it turns out. So I said okay. And it's still like that. However everywhere might be closed today, considering its 4th of July. So I have a few questions... 1. Would taking her to Petsmart help? 2. Would she need surgery? If so, would she live through it?

Thats strange I have a chihuahua also and 2 days ago his leg was hurting too He couldnt walk on that leg without limping It was probably because he got a shot on that leg and it became sore OT:If I were you I would wait a couple days and see if it gets better on its own If it doesnt take it to the vet and see what they can do

Something like this happened with my dog. I accidently flipped her over and she landed badly on her leg. After like a hour it was fine and she could walk on it. Take her to the vet if you are still unsure though.

She could've either sprained it or broken it. My suggestion is to probably bandage her leg up for now, if you have any. Make sure the dog walks as less as possible, you don't want to strain the wound. There's not much you can do I'm afraid but wait.. since it's a holiday for you. Then take her to the vet right away in the morning. Then again there might be Pet Hospitals. Browse the local phone book and see if you can find any open pet hospitals. If not, make sure your doggy doesn't walk on her leg. Good luck. ._.

She could of sprained her ankle, i know she probably didn't break it. If it doesn't get better by tomorrow, then take her to the vet

My boyfriend is used to dogs and he asks this, how much is your dog whimpering? (crying sounds) A lot? None? A little? o.o Edit: Pet hospital I guess is like a clinic but for emergencies.. unless Pet Smart is the same. We don't have that here so I don't know. xD

Pet Smart is like a pet store. In the back they have this little place where they put shots, check ups, etc. It's not that big.
