Well I started this account at the 2nd anniversary. This was my first character and I will admit (seeing how i have 8 int and 81 dex) I am avery content with having average, or high dex. The int thing bothers me and the fact that my base dex is odd (81) but i can just fix that. I always ask 4th job warriors there base dex and alot say that they have between 80 and 100. alot say that they have high dex for a special sword, which i cant think of the name. But there is always some maplers that jump to conclusions and say that i messed up my warrior with my dex and should start a new one. BTW those maplers usualy are not warriors or are warriors that are usualy lower lv or somewat near my lv. What do you think, im totaly satisfied with having 80 dex. (Soon to fix with nx, 8 int and 81 dex... >.<) ..Any errors just let me know...

I like having 73 base-dex I don't need high dex earrings or a dex cape for my Stonetooth I can just use speed shoes/speed capes to kill everything and to train faster

Probably because I'm so hardcore, I think having more than 50 dex is unnecessary. Everyone starts off unfunded at the beginning, and eventually works their way up. If they play it smart, not necessary hardcore and boring, but just reading guides, asking advice when needed, and putting off training here and there for quests that give scrolls, one can easily fund a warrior with 50 dex. I'm starting unfunded and making a 30 dex sword Fighter and dexless Spearman, but that's because I'm me. If I can do it, anyone can, but that depends on how patient you want to be for maybe 500 more damage in the 2nd job? 1000-1500 in the 3rd? and 2000-3000 or more in the 4th? Think about it, if you're really serious about eventually getting to the 4th job, chances are you'll get a zhelm (39.5 accuracy right there, +10 from sniper pills or +20 from bless, and the list goes on)... anyways, it's up to the player if they're willing to have a little more (or a lot more in the case of dexless) hardship in order to maintain their dex as low as possible.

Kenkaru said: "I'm a 80 dex Hybrid Spearman...Is that bad?" That's completely up to you. You won't have trouble with finding good dex/accuracy gear just so you can train on the best possible thing, but you'll have just as much trouble trying to find godly enough w.atk/str gear trying to keep up with the ones who also use some w.atk/str gear. If you don't care too much about being extremely strong, and just being average, then there is no problem.

I liek your style WolfJounin, it's true if u start unfunded and you jujst be a little patient you'll achieve the things you've always dreamed of (that's what I sort of think is what your tryign to say) I mean I started with an awesome balanced lvl 13 thief and magically got a 111 or something ranger and 86 hermit with funding, however I don't see the need to have high damage. To TS you should be fine since your satisfied with your stats and honestly, it's just 4 extra int how bad can it be? Why use up money to gain like 10 extra damage or like 4 extra accuracy :P.

Well, it's not just 10 extra damage. I defined the extra damage precisely in one of my earlier posts, but as you said, it depends on whether or not you care about being a little stronger. I personally don't care about being the best, rather I just want to be above average... but yeah, my point was it doesn't matter how unfunded or weak you start off, you'll eventually get everything you want if you're patient.

I had 90 dex and reset to 20 base. I didn't like having such high dex, and as a result my damage was pretty awful. With 20 dex I am a lot stronger and can still hit everything I need; although I don't need high dex for any special weapons. It matters less if you don't mind lower damage, and if you can't afford to buy uber dex equips for a Stonetooth.

It's fairly easy to start off unfunded and pull off 20 dex now. I started with 20mil in funds, and right now although my equips aren't that great, I can still train efficiently and hit everything. |
