Well, today was my 15th birthday and I got a good amount of money ($300). I asked my parents for a cellphone but they said I'm too young for one. Everyone at school has one, and I'm dying for one. I was given the idea of getting a prepaid cell, and keeping it away from my parents without them finding out. I have enough money and such, and it won't be a problem keeping it away from them. If they catch me, they would probably yell at me and take it away but I'd eventually get it back.

Parents who think their kids shouldn't have a cellphone at 15 either don't care about them that much or make their kids go wherever they go.

Dude its your money do what you want with it. Stop living by your parents rules they do not control every aspect of your life if you want a cellphone and you have the money go out and buy a dam cell phone.

Parents either care too much or not enough buddy. OT: Ask them for it and beg and tell them reasons. Buy it for yourself as a last resort. Why didn't you just ask for a phone for your birthday? 15 isn't young

Before you buy a phone, think of what you'd do with it, how often you'd use it, and if you think it's worth it. If you get a reasonable result other than "everyone else has one and I'm dying for one" then go for it, the reason in the quotes is very common and really false.

GO BUY A PHONE!

Yeah, you can buy a prepaid phone. If you're planning to use it a lot, you should get a plan instead. But that requires your parents to sign it for you cause you need a credit card. Just tell your parents that if you go out and get lost and there's no phone, then you'd collapse of hunger and die or something.

My parents said that I have no use for it, and that I don't need one at all and need no use for it. I'll probably use it everyday, and even get it unlimited texting.

Don't buy one. Save your cash, maybe a new model would come out and maybe you would want it alot. Hide it somewhere safe and try to forget about it so you won't be tempted to spend your cash.
