I currently have a 1gbRAM on a Vista computer and maple lagged a bit when i played. when i stuck in my 2gb memory card for my camera into it i suddenly had no lag at all. i then heard that memory sticks speed up the computer. is 1gb of RAM equivalent to a 1gb memory card?

No, camera memory has nothing to do with Ram

There are other factors. Your amount of Ram is more than enough to run Maple. Considering your processor is atleast like 1.5Ghz. Also, if you are using Wireless Internet, it would lag.

abu210Actually I believe you had readyboost and it kicked in, so it lagged less then you.

Basically yes, if you want to just own it up, go to a store and buy another Gig of RAM and then you should be good. if you have 2 sticks in making 1 gig, try to add another 2 making it all 2 gig, you wanna balance it out, its better for your computer.

AnnaDragon said: " Mine has... *counts external hard drive size* 40GB of Ram ^_^." You DO realize that a hard drive is NOT RAM....... RAM is something different altogether.........
