I know lukless have more int than regluk (excluding equips) But since timeless equips increase stats on level up AND can also be scrolled you can certainly get more int from them than you can with any non timeless equip... Would a regluk mage be able to surpass lukless in INT when to consider the int bonuses they gain from their equipment?

Nope. LUKLESS w/ ELEMENTAL WAND > LOW LUK w/ TIMELESS STAFF

Llamas 07/03/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
like usual pure stats always win i.e PURE LUK (dexless) PURE INT (lukless) PURE DEX (strless)

The only thing that might make u go low/reg luck to equip the timeless weapons is the skill booster for your job. Other wise its not worth it atm, u will still not make up the int loss from going into low/ reg luck.

You know, I was gonna tell you to think about your own question, and try and answer it yourself with simple mathematics. But I thought otherwise, I mean, you did ask for help. Either you are too lazy to do the calculations, or you simply don't know how. Anyways, here's the math. In addition, the following is a list of assumptions that I made to make these generally applicable statements. I am assuming that: 1.you are incredibly funded, as the Timeless Weapons will NOT me cheap, and that 2. you get the MOST you can from each "level-up" of your weapon, which can be leveled up 6 times, though the last time, you can't get the bonus stats, and that 3. the upgrade slots will not matter because both Timeless Equipments and normal equipments all have the same potential when it comes to scrolling, and that 4. though it has been proven to affect magical damage, LUK will not be considered in the following calculations. Regular-LUK Mages Weapon: Timeless Staff-(Req LUK: 123, Magic Attack: 135); Bonuses Each level-(Magic Attack: 1-4, INT: 1-2) So from this, you can get Magic Attack +4, and INT +2. Multipled by five, and you can get Magic Attack +20, and INT +10. This will result in a staff with the following stats: INT +10, and Magic Attack +155. Helmet: Timeless Helmet-(Req LUK: 123, INT +7); Bonuses Each level-(INT: 0-1) So from this, you can get INT +1. Multipled by five, and you can get INT +5. This will result in a helmet with the following stats: INT +12. *One short note that I'm adding here is that, because the helmet can only go up to INT +12 clean, most Regular-LUK mages will still choose the Zakum Helmet over this as it adds INT +15 clean, so the Timeless Helmet calculation can be disregarded. I still included it for those who were curious. However, the INT+15 from the Zakum Helmet will be used in subsequent calculations. Overall: Timeless Overall-(Req LUK: 120, INT +8); Bonuses Each level-(INT: 0-1) So from this, you can get INT +1. Multipled by five, and you can get INT +5. This will result in a overall with the following stats: INT +13. Gloves: Timeless Gloves-(Req LUK: 123, INT +6); Bonuses Each level-(INT: 0-1, Magic Attack:0-1) So from this, you can get INT +1, Magic Attack +1. Multipled by five, and you can get INT +5, and Magic Attack +5. This will result in a pair of gloves with the following stats: INT +11, and Magic Attack +5. Shoes: Timeless Shoes-(Req LUK: 123, INT +4, Magic Attack +1); Bonuses Each level-(INT: 0-1) So from this, you can get INT +1. Multipled by five, and you can get INT +5. This will result in a pair of shoes with the following stats: INT +9, and Magic Attack +1. Shield: Timeless Shield-(Req LUK: 120, INT +5); Bonuses Each level-(INT: 0-1) So from this, you can get INT +1. Multipled by five, and you can get INT +5. This will result in a shield with the following stats: INT +10. Cape: Timeless Cape-(0); Bonuses Each level-(INT: 0-1) So from this, you can get INT +1. Multipled by five, and you can get INT +5. Well thanks for the compliment, but no, the people who wrote the guides must have spent hours, maybe even days. xD Also, the question was directed to magicians in general, which includes Bishops. They do not get the elemental boosts. astrokid said: " Thanks for doing those calculations. However, LUK is included in magic damage calculations so it's not a completely useless stat damage wise..." Yes, I know this. And I included it as one of my assumptions. I'm not sure about the exact calculation, but I'm pretty sure that it's 1 INT=5 LUK? Or roughly that ratio. I checked the damage calculator on Hidden-Street, but it doesn't seem to be correct. If someone could tell me this ratio and identify a source, that'd be great. But regardless, it still doesn't close the gap between Regular-LUK and LUK-less magicians by a great deal. The most, which is highly unlikely, is that the gap will disappear, and they will become equal in strength. That is probably not the case, but I haven't done the calculation, so I can't be 100% sure. Just as a side note to think about, why do you think most magicians scroll for INT equips instead of LUK equips?

@ carlsonlf; You compared the best stats a regular luk could have with nearly the worst a lukless could have. Your conclusion is still correct though.
sonny2000 Jul 04 2009 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
@ carlsonlf; You should include character's stats, elemental bonuses from Elewands for luckless (for 3 reasons, the TS included he word mage on his post, Elemental wands are designed for elemental users, not bishops, and if you want to talk about magicians in general, there are 2 who uses elements and 1 who doesnt, according to the majority, element bonuses should be taken) and MW20-MW30 and HT necklace for both (more benefical for low luck), and you will see luckless taking the upper hand by like +300 magic (over your calculations) at level 150 and the gap only increases because elewands give a different magic growing rate 1.25 instead of 1.00 on the main element.

Dexless warriors are the only good example, because we're debating about Lukless mage, not using it as an example....

wow thanks for that, carlsonlf, but like u said the lowluk mages might have a zhelm, and horntail necklace so along with a base luk of 4 that would give, 15+22+4=41luk, so your 60mag att that lukless would have gained in comparison to lukmage is already diminished to 19 not including the luk from other equipment. But I still think lukless would still win because we would have godly scrolled items where people would be scared to scroll for example 3 30% on any of their timeless equips cuz the timeless equips should already cost a lot.
