So, according to a study (cant find the exact link but i found a quote from it) It takes over TEN THOUSAND hours to become an expert, or "pro" as Maplers call it, in an industry, science, or art form. Quote- "Ten thousand hours is equivalent to roughly three hours a day, or 20 hours a week, of practice over 10 years� No one has yet found a case in which true world-class expertise was accomplished in less time. It seems that it takes the brain this long to assimilate all that it needs to know to achieve true mastery." Thus, you are not a pro Mapler, neither is anyone you know. That's from the book Outliers. And there have been examples of world-class expertise in less than 10,000 hours. I'm not going to bother to find and list any, but I know one or two were listed in the Outliers book.

It does get quite annoying. You're right though. The definition of "pro" on Maple is different than IRL, so the 10,000 hour rule really doesn't apply.

They are 1)Paid to play the game during their job hours. 2) Get a feeling for the game's interface and function through actual play of the game 3) use this experience to refine the game play or design through suggestions of ideas in favor of the actual players. -_-

Well, 20 hours a week is almost definite for most maplers. I do at least 30.
